Spring Spring is finally here! As we all know, the hotter months bring palettes of lighter hues and brighter tones. And every year, fashion addicts everywhere wait for the release of the Pantone Color Report of the season. The report is actually put together by some of the most highly acclaimed fashion designers. In order to develop the list, these designers take into consideration all of the colors used in the collections from the Spring 2010 shows of Fashion Week.
The colors chosen for this report also indicate the colors you will most likely see a lot of in most of your favorite clothing stores. You probably won’t love every single color of the report, but at least you can choose a few that work well with your shade.
Here are the hottest colors of Spring 2010, courtesy of the Pantone Color Report.
1. Turquoise
Soothing and oh so cool like the ocean, Turquoise has the right amount of blues and greens. This color is vibrant and soothing to those who prefer cooler colors. During the colder months, darker blues made a huge impact in the collection for the winter season. However. this particular color will be a hit amongst most fashionistas this season.
2. Tomato Puree
Red was a dominate color of the winter season, so one who imagine that it would make a softer appearance in the warmer months. Although you won’t see much of the bolder reds, this softer hue of red still has a presence that causes it to be one of the boldest colors in the report, Out of all the colors of this season, no shade is as energetic as Tomato Puree.
You will see designers and department stores everywhere pair this color with Turquoise to create the perfect blend of energy and calm.
3. Fusion Coral
Warm and yet still very feminine, Fusion Coral brings the romance to the color report. Flirty pieces look great in this tone, and this color will be another favorite for those who choose to sticky to their “girly girl” roots.
4. Violet
The flower print makes a huge return to the fashion scene this season, and so does the color violet. Those who find Fushion Coral to be a little too feminine will find solace in this shade.
5. Tuscany
Neutrals will play a significant part this season. Tuscany is a warm beige that somehow manages to combine warmth and femininity. To get the most from this color, pair it with bolder colors of the report such as Fusion Coral and Violet.
6. Aurora
The spring season wouldn’t be complete without another reappearance from yellow. The fall and winter season toted bigger and bolder yellow hues, and this season the reign of the color will continue. Greenish tones makes this color bold.
7. Amparo Blue
Darker blues ruled the runway in the Fall and Winter seasons, but a lighter and energetic blue will dominate this season. Amparo blue is more intense than the traditional navy blue, and looks great when paired with Turquoise.
8. Pink Champagne
Pink Champagne is another feminine tone that will reign this season. As a cooler alternative to Fusion Coral, is a delicate neutral that holds on to femininity. Extremely luxurious, this isn’t your ordinary neutral tone.
9. Dried Herb
Considered more of a green neutral, Dried Herb pairs well with all the other colors.
10. Eucalyptus
This shade is the most basic out of all the neutrals. This color comes to life when it is paired with the brighter hues.
The spring season is the season of mixing your cooler colors with your warmer colors. Be bold with your accessories and remember to choose colors that compliment your shade.
As a fashion junkie, I can say I am seeing a lot of these colors already. Violet is probably my favorite one, with Turquoise coming in second. I can't wait to bust out the gladiator sandles too. I love Spring fashion!Love the mag ladies!
