Laila Ali has a true love for the sport of boxing. But she is even more passionate about educating and motivating our youth.
The former boxing champion spoke at an awards ceremony honoring Kroger Black Month contest winners. In her speech, Ali addressees the “Three P’s”: passion, plan and practice. She stressed the importance of each one and how they are essential to one’s success. Director of Kroger’s Michigan Division Rick Grogan was very pleased with his selection for keynote speaker.
“Laila has a unique ability to connect with young people and encourage them to reach new heights,” he said. “She has achieved so much at a young age, and we feel honored to have her as a role model for students being recognized during our annual I Can Make History awards banquet.” -Rick Grogan
