Boston Celtics Even Up Series In Cleveland

By: Taren Vaughan
The night in Cleveland started out on a very positive note. Cavs’ lead man LeBron James was recognized as the NBA’s MVP for the season. It was not long though before the Celtics stole the spotlight.

The Boston Celtics dominated the fourth quarter of the game going on to win Game 2 of their series against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Celtics’ Kevin Garnett had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Rajon Rondo had an impressive 19 assists, breaking franchise playoff record. Tempers began to flare towards the end of the game as players from both squads racked up technical fouls. Personal foul trouble was an issue for the Celtics’ players late in the fourth quarter. But it did not pose a problem for them as they were still able to prevail at the end. However, the Celtics did start to take their foot off the gas pedal under the five minute mark. The Cavs’ went on a spurt bringing them within striking distance. But it wasn’t quite enough

James did not play at his normal level as his bruised elbow that he received in the first round of the playoffs has been bothering him. With this Boston win, the series is now tied. The King and his court need to do some re-grouping for the next one.
