Randall Cunningham becomes another athlete that loses their child to an untimely accident at their house. Cunningham’s 2-year old son drowned Tuesday afternoon in his backyard hot tub at his Nevada home. Cunningham was not present at the time of his son’s death; he was said to have been out of town at the time of the incident. Randall Cunningham has been out of the sports spotlight for quite some time now as he has become heavily involved in his ministry. His church members are being very supportive of Cunningham and his family as they endure this horrible tragedy:
“We were there for support,” “It’s about being a church family and supporting the family. We believe in the resurrection and we believe that his son Christian is going to be OK.”
Pool deaths occur so often all across the United States and should not be taken lightly. The death of Christian Cunningham and all of the other children that have lost their lives should be a true eye opener and lead us to be more cautious when it comes to any kind of pool related activity. Our hearts go out to the Cunningham family as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
