Nicki Vogues For Adidas: Nicki Minaj Adidas Photo Shoot Pictures

Nicki Minaj gets her vogue on for Adidas.

Nicki Minaj and Adias have joined forces, colorfully of course. The popstar and Young Money rapper sashayed colorful attire and sneaks designed by the just as colorful, Jeremy Scott. Shot in Brooklyn, this Nicki Minaj Adidas fashion shoot was for the Spring/Fall 2012 Adidas line.

This recent collaboration with the sneaker empire is another recent deal Minaj has nabbed as a brand. While most of us can’t say we love Nicki’s fashion sense, her business sense cannot be criticized. In a little under three years, she’s gone from possible Lil’ Kim clone to a pop phenomenon. Is it all sheer luck? Of course not. Regardless of how silly she manages to look, she is no idiot.

Nicki continues to do what it seems no other female rapper could do, and that is launching an empire in such a short time frame. While very much impressive, her fashion game is still laughable. And I’m not laughing with the Head Barbie.

While I am a lover of bright colors, this Nicki Minaj Adidas photo shoot leaves much to be desired. Nothing this woman wears or does on stage surprises me anymore. My only wish is that women will get out of the lacefront wig phase that has some of us looking like fools out in public. Even Nicki can’t manage to make a lacefront look less cheap.

With her Sophomore album Roman Reloaded selling over 200,000 in its first week, it is clear that Minaj isn’t going anywhere. Her commercial success is a result of her undeniable crossover appeal. It is obvious that being outrageous has made her interesting and quite marketable to many brands.

Somewhere in some little, shabby club, Lil’ Kim is salty.

Hate her or love her, I’m pretty sure she is just getting started.
