Ne-Yo has spoken out about Frank Ocean revealing that he is gay in a letter found on Ocean’s Tumblr page; Ocean’s mystery lover not being Kanye West or Tyler The Creator.This adds Ne-Yo to the lengthy list of artists in the industry who have voiced their opinions and shown their support for Ocean coming out. In a recent interview, the R&B singer-songwriter talked with Power 106 about Ocean coming clean about his sexuality and that he respects his choice:
“To each his own, if that’s how he rock, that’s how he rock, you know,”
And regardless of what the Odd Future member’s sexual preference is, Ne-Yo will still continue to give Frank Ocean his props for he says that Ocean’s musical talents are amazing and he is known for doing his thing in the studio:
“It don’t change the fact that his music is incredible. It don’t change the fact that he’s an incredible artist. He chose to put his personal life out there, and that’s him.”
Ne-Yo has much respect for people who are comfortable with themselves and are willing to express it to the world, one that’s full of critics ready to crank up bash sessions at any moment; he won’t slam them for it though:
“If that’s really who you are, then by all means do what you do. I’m not gonna judge you behind that. That’s not my place.”
As Ne-Yo may not be dogging Frank Ocean for being gay, he says that that is something that he doesn’t want to be coined as. Growing tired of the rumors about him diggin’ men, Ne-Yo says that he would rather people just clown his looks instead:
“Call me ugly or something, let’s think of something else,”
“This whole gay thing has been lingering for a little too long. Say I’m adopted, I’ll take the ninja turtle comments, I’ll take that. Let’s do something else.”
So it’s cool to call him a bald-headed turtle just as long as you don’t call him…gay?
Oh ok…

So it’s better to be called ugly than gay? Wow. I didn’t think Neyo could be dumber than he looks.
Look at how that fool looks when he takes his pictures. He really can’t see why people think he’s gay? Seriously? He pokes his lips out just like the girls do in the Instagram photos. There’s not a masculine bone in his body and everyone can see it. A hit dog will holler and do interviews saying he’s not gay when it’s super obvious.
I’m gay and I’m offended by this comment. So he rather be called a ninja turtle than be mistakenly labeled as a gay man? Oh please. He looks like a certified queen, but had he just stopped talking about it all the time, people might begin to think he’s telling the truth. Being gay is not the worst thing in the world but these bigots sure make it seem that way. Ne-yo just lost a fan.
You mean he’s not gay. Oh.
I think he said too much. Just say you’re not gay and move on. He keeps talking about it and it seems really suspect. Even Kanye addressed the gay rumors once and moved on.
Either Ne-yo is bi or straight because he definitely tried to hit on me at an industry party one night…and no Kanye is not gay either. And that’s all I will say about that.
I’m not gay but I can see why those that are take offense to this. He said this like being gay is a negative thing. If that is your lifestyle and someone spoke about it like it was a negative thing, you’d feel some type of way too. Sexuality differences shouldn’t make understanding that hard.
If Ne-yo say he is straight,
then I will take the man’s word for it. Enough said.
Move on already!
I remember in the 80’s (the band) Culture Club’s music was hot
and they wore make-up on all their video’s, no one cared about that.
Because they were REAL musicians.
Frank Ocean, Has only been out musically
for a short while. So, the majority of the mainstream audiences don’t know who he is.
Even with all the announcements made about him, I hope he can live up to
the anticipation musically that Europeans who are already familiar with greats like Sir. Elton John and George Michael and deliver.
Because once the fan-fair dies down about his emancipation. People will want to get some decent music. I don’t see his song “No Church in the Wild” can beat “Church of the poison mind” by (Culture Club), or “Tiny Dancer” by (Elton John).
He better bring it!
I mean, as they say in tinsel town, let the music play.

i think …its the most high time for people to understand that…when you dont do something, then there is no way i can force it to be— so if NeYo says HE’s not a gay..then why do you people force it to be ??????
