Michael Strahan’s divorce has prompted a lot of rumors. He made a lasting impressing on the game of professional football as a member of the New York Giants from his play to his positive attitude. And he has been one professional athlete that has managed to stay out of trouble. However, that has not stopped Michael Strahan’s name from being tossed into the rumor mill full force. After his divorce from ex-wife Jean Muggli, there was talk about him cheating on her while the two were married and also that he was abusive towards her as well. As for his current relationship with fiance’ Nicole Murphy, it too has been surrounded with rumors too, the main one being that the two split up. Michael and Nicole both dispelled the alleged break-up rumor, claiming that they were still very much happy with each other. While Nicole has taken a spot on Hollywood Exes, Michael Strahan has landed a new gig of his own as the new co-host of Live! with Kelly Ripa. He spoke on how it was working alongside Kelly Ripa in an interview with Real Sports host Bryant Gumbel. And he also went on to address the harsh rumors about him being an abuser, adulterer and having relations with men, saying that there was no truth at all to any of them:
Tomorrow night, Michael Strahan tackles a delicate subject — his headline-making divorce in 2006 from then-wife Jean Muggli — on his first major interview since being named to replace Regis Philbin on Kelly Ripa’s morning show.
“The worst of it?” Strahan tells Bryant Gumbel in a piece for HBO’s “Real Sports” (10 p.m.).
“I think early on when you’re reading all these things in the paper that aren’t true — I’m not an adulterer. I’m not gay. I mean, I didn’t beat anybody.”
Gumbel brings up the bitter divorce “because the thing that I find the most surprising about it is in retrospect, your public image didn’t take a hit.”
“People don’t care,” Strahan replies. “Everybody has their own problems . . . I just kept go on being myself and it worked.”
About getting the most-sought-after job in daytime TV, Strahan says he was only mildly surprised by it,
“When I did watch everybody, I felt that I was the best one,” he says laughing.
“Better than me?” asks Gumbel, who was aso a fill-in host, if not exactly a candidate.
“You were good,” Strahan replies. “But I know you don’t want to wake up every day, so I knew I was safe with you.”
LOL his ex wife was white too. He went right back to a sista after it ended too. 😉
Please don’t troll here. ;-/
You know! Don’t mess up this blog like you messed up all the other ones I won’t leave comments on anymore. LOL
I’m pretty sure her race has nothing to do with anything. But, yeah. Ok.
Yeah no one cared about any of the things his ex wife was saying. I think it’s because he never really had problems before the split, so it just didn’t seem believable. I’m glad he’s happy and doing well.
I think people didn’t really care because the timing was always suspect. She made another “announcement” around the same time they announced he would be the co-host on Live. She’s a mess.
I like Mike. He’s a cool dude and I’m glad he’s as successful as he is. I think his wife is just bitter. Hopefully, she’ll move on and find her happiness too.
Nicole is so hard in the face…I don’t see the hype.
Damn. His ex wife went hard didn’t she? Some women just don’t know how to just let it go. Revenge is a waste of time.
LOL he kind of shades his ex all the time though. I’m not sure what went down with them, but BOTH of them are bitter as hell about it.
I like Micheal Strahan. But if I were him, I wouldn’t speak on this subject anymore. It’s no need.
