Since this morning, a very violent and disturbing video has been going viral on the blogs and social networks. In the video, a bus driver and young woman (reports have confirmed that the young woman is 25 years old) are seen arguing and trading profanity laced insults with one another for the first couple of minutes. While it’s never really explained what led to the argument, the young woman then begins to scream and berate the bus driver even more before she is eventually seen striking him. While it’s not clear if she pushed him or punched him (a bystander was in the way at that moment), the bus driver is then seen getting up out of his seat and calmly walks up to her as she dares him to hit her. And then…he does. People gasp as the bus driver violently uppercuts the young woman and then pushes her off of the parked bus.
The young woman does make her way back on the bus and the two begin to fight once more before onlookers step in to separate the two.
The video ends after the young girl threatens the bus driver with a visit from her boyfriend and father.

Since the incident, the bus driver has been suspended. Here’s the report:
Cleveland Cleveland Regional Transit Authority officials have reportedly seen the video and are currently investigating. Until their investigation is complete, the driver, who is yet to be named, has been relieved of his duties and will face suspension.
The RTA released this statement:
RTA saw the video posted on YouTube of the operator incident on October 11. Through the investigation, we believe the incident occurred on Sept. 18. Upon identifying the driver, he was immediately suspended and removed from duty. His behavior is absolutely unacceptable. RTA apologizes to our customers for this incident. A full investigation continues.
The video causes a debate on whether or not this was acceptable behavior from the bus driver. Many feel he was out of line for hitting a woman, and then there are many who feel that women who initiate violence to men should be held accountable for their actions.

I’m not for the violence of women. But…some women want to be men when it’s convenient and then revert back to being women once they have crossed the line. She was a the big man until he did what she asked him to do. Then she was crying and calling her boyfriend and her daddy. I think women need to always keep their hands to themselves!!!! And this video is why!!!!
I can’t do anything but shake my head. This woman asked for it. I can’t even believe she’s 25. Are they sure? I expect this kind of behavior from someone 15 years old. Not 25.
He didn’t have to do all of that! He did a damn Mortal Kombat move on her!!! Not cool. All he had to do was restrain her. There’s no way she could have hurt him as much as he hurt her.
DAYUM. I’m sorry, I laughed. And I don’t feel too bad that I did. She bucked on that man like she was a man. And dared him to hit her. She’s too old to be that stupid. In the end, she should have kept her hands to herself.
She squared off like she was man enough to take what came next. I am very against women hitting men and then screaming foul when they run into one who has no problem knocking the crap out of them. Keep your hands to yourself and pick your battles.
I am so tired of women hitting men and expecting them to have self control after the fact. I’m against violence both ways. Everyone should learn how to disagree without being violent.
I’m old school on this one. You don’t hit a woman period. He should have restrained her and called the police to escort her off the bus.

He should have never let it get that far. He’s the elder and should have followed procedure.
She’s the typical ignorant female who thinks she can assault a man without any repercussions. She got exactly what she deserved and she should be in some trouble too. She assaulted him and he defended himself. He should press charges and send her dumb a– to jail.
This can’t be life! What is up with these young females? Why do they want to be everything but ladylike? Sad.
