Friends Praise Jay-Z for Being a Good Father to Blue Ivy

Is Jay-Z smitten by Blue Ivy? Jay-Z has been in the rap game since the early ’90’s and has managed to be not just a notable rapper who continues to rep New York to the fullest, but he is a business savvy one too as Jay-Z has launched a clothing line, opened a club and gained part ownership over a professional athletic team. And he even continues to team up with his wife Beyoncé in the studio too, Beyoncé currently working on a solo project that is predicted to be fire. Things couldn’t be better for the Brooklyn native as far as his overall career is concerned. Yet his family life is looking just as great as Jay-Z and Beyoncé welcomed their daughter Blue Ivy Carter into the world almost a year ago, the two proud parents being spotted out with their daughter often, both of them getting a lot more personable with their fans. And it didn’t take long at all for Blue to make her first appearance on one of Jay’s songs, the little girl’s first cries being featured on the touching track Glory where he gushes about how happy he is about the birth of his daughter. A source close to the rap star claims that it was pretty much known that Jay-Z would be excited about his baby girl Blue being born but his friends were not expecting him to become so “gooey” as a father:

”Jay is the best dad. Everyone knew he was going to be in love with the baby but his friends were shocked by how gooey he got when he became a father.”

Jay-Z himself was born with no silver spoon in his mouth as he grew up in Brooklyn’s Marcy Housing Projects, living in a crime-filled and drug-infested environment. Although his daughter’s upbringing will not mirror his if he and Bey have anything to do with it, Jay-Z says that the one thing he hopes for Blue is that she grows up to be a respectable human being:

”She doesn’t have to be tough. She has to love herself, she has to know who she is, she has to be respectful, and be a moral person.”

Jay-Z and Beyoncé are not expecting another child at the moment despite rumors and seem to be rather enjoying loving Blue Ivy to pieces, a smitten Jay-Z probably doing a whole lot of it every chance that he gets.
