K. Michelle is known for not being afraid to say what’s on her mind, and unfortunately, her comments usually end in more beefs (as if she needs to beef with anyone else). The reality star and R&B singer confirmed in a recent interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club that she’s not really getting along with any of her Love and Hip Hop Atlanta cast members. It’s even been rumored that she got into it with Mimi Faust so bad last night that it resulted in the her slapping Mimi in the face. K. Michelle rubbed Mimi the wrong way when she suggested that she thinks Mimi’s new man might be on the “down low.” Regardless, it appears Mimi isn’t the only person who has some beef with what was said in the interview. Apparently fellow R&B singer Lyfe Jennings doesn’t appreciate the comments K. Michelle made about him either.
K. Michelle and Lyfe Jennings’ beef started when K. Michelle pulled out of a performance at the last minute because she was asked to perform as the opening act, and Lyfe Jennings was set to perform as the headliner. K. Michelle told the promoters that she felt she was the bigger star, and Lyfe should actually open up for her.
In the end, K. Michelle ended up not performing and she blamed the disaster on the promoters.
In her recent interview with The Breakfast Club, she gave her side of the story:
“I was so wrong for that. Let me tell you. They were promoting me. They didn’t even have Lyfe Jennings on the flyers really. No one knew he was out of jail, so I get there and he [had told] them ‘No, she needs to open up for me.’ It was a crowd of women and you were using my name and promoting me.
“I was like, “No, he’s going to go on first, he’s been in jail. I’ve been out here working and grinding, you been in jail!
“I ended up saying I would go on but by then the promoters was like “No.” I made a lot of people pissed off in Tampa. I learned as an artist regardless of anything your fans come first. Just f*ck it. Just go out there and sing and let them get up and leave after. I should have went on but I was like, ‘Damn, we didn’t know you was out, bruh.”
Lyfe Jennings wasn’t too happy with the comments K. Michelle made about him. He took to his Twitter account to slam the singer and remind promoters to never book them together for a show ever again.
He tweets (read from the bottom up):
K. Michelle hasn’t responded to any of Lyfe’s tweets.
Oh Lyfe…sorry babe, but yes she’s more relevant than you right now.
Lol
They both need to drop it. Lyfe has a couple of hits but they both need to humble themselves. They aren’t on a big stage…neither one of them.
Someone is definitely salty and it isn’t K. Michelle.
Honestly, who is checkin for either of these two lames? Sigh…
Ya know, K Mule can never step foot in Tampa.
K. Michelle is going to be the star of this upcoming season! I cannot wait!
Did K. say she wanted to be the next Keyshia Cole? If so, she needs to raise her standards. IJS.
Well technically, Lyfe does have more hits than K. Michelle does. I can see why he felt he should go on last. Either way, it’s a petty reason to be beefing IMO.
Wasn’t Lyfe in Prison for domestic violence? K Michelle needs to be careful. Memphitz ain’t got nothin on Lyfe.
LOL these two both need to have a seat.
K. Michelle stay ignorant, she will respond in 5, 4,3,2…….
They funny! The pot calling the kettle black!
