Jada and Will Smith are always criticized for their unique take on parenting, but it’s clear that when it comes to their children’s careers, they will make sure they are heavily involved in making them successful. And why not? Clearly they have the means to do so and since Will is one of the highest paid actors in the business, it makes sense that he’d pull a few strings to get his kids grounded in the world of acting. Jaden Smith might have a budding romance with Kim Kardashian’s little sister Kylie Jenner, but he’s still finding time to bulk up his acting resume. Now Will’s youngest son will make another appearance alongside his father as it has been confirmed that they have a new movie entitled After Earth slated for an upcoming release.
A new trailer for the film has already started making its rounds on the web, and a statement to describe the film’s plot reads:
A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.
The film is directed by M. Night Shyamalan and opens up in theaters on June 7.

M. Night Shyamalan? I’ll have to wait until it comes out on DVD. He’s terrible. LOL.
Eh, I might see it. M. Night Shyamalan scares me too. He missed up Air Bender so bad I left the theater pissed.
Looks good! I’ll be supporting it like I do just about every black movie. Love the Smiths too. 😉
Looks very action packed. I think I’ll check it out.
I am sorry but when I found out who the director of this film is, I do not want to see any parts of it.
Jaden looking just like his daddy in this movie. LOL. Aww.
Looks good to me. I’ll see it.
