Tina Turner Lands First Vogue Cover

Legendary singer Tina Turner has had many accomplishments in her music career which has lasted over 50 years. Even today. she’s still considered one of today’s most popular entertainers and she’s also considered one of the most successful female rock artists. Tina is also admired and considered as a very strong woman because she managed to get out of her abusive marriage to the late Ike Turner, yet the split (which was personal and professional) didn’t hinder her career any. Tina went on to make many more hits and even today, she’s still rocking out on stages all around the world and inspiring people with her music and messages of empowerment.

The energetic performer can now add yet another achievement to her long list of accomplishments, as it has been confirmed that she has landed her very first cover of Vogue.

Tina covers the April issue of Vogue’s German edition, and at 73 years old, she’s now the oldest woman to make an appearance on a cover of the high-profile fashion publication. Prior to Tina, 62-year-old legendary actress Meryl Streep held that title, but Tina has dethroned Streep and looks fabulous doing it.

Tina of course is rocking her signature blonde hairdo, and that signature fit body that reminds everyone that age isn’t a reason to give up on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  We’re very happy to see Tina cover Vogue in such a beautiful fashion, and we have to also hope she’ll do the same for the American edition very soon in the near future.
