R&B singer Ciara has been on the grind and working diligently on her comeback to the R&B music scene. She is already set to drop her upcoming studio album One Woman Army this summer, and she recently dropped her next single “Body Party” several days ago, igniting a little controversy between her and Rihanna. After uploading a video of herself singing the new single in her hotel bathroom in Paris, Rihanna and her close friend Melissa decided to poke fun of the singer. Ciara has taken the high road and opted against going back and forth with Rihanna on Twitter again, and said in a recent interview that’s she’s not sure where the animosity from Rihanna is coming from. Regardless, Ciara isn’t letting the drama get her out of focus, and she’s still in motion to promote her upcoming release with the help of industry heavyweight LA Reid.
Ciara is putting her cover girl skills to good use and makes an appearance on the March/April/May issue of Annex Magazine. In the issue, she talks more about her One Woman Army album and her music inspirations.
On who inspires her to make music:
“I really love listening to artists like Lana Del Ray, Kendrick Lamar, Drake just to name a few. However, I continue to find inspiration from the generation of greats such as Michael Jackson, Prince and Madonna.”
On her album:
“I am approaching this record in a different way than I have any other project before. While recording “One Woman Army” I have been running towards my fears and allowing myself to be vulnerable in many ways; for the first time I allowed myself to be completely open in the music making process. I can honestly say this is the most fun that I’ve ever had making an album.”

The issue will be available on March 18. Check out video of Ciara working it for Annex Magazine below:
She looks pretty. Heard her boo has yet ANOTHER baby on the way tho. Hope that’s not true, if not, she needs to cut him loose ASAP.
Hell, it’s probably true. Future isn’t the most stand up guy. LOL.
Pretty.
I think she should just stick to modeling and leave the “singing” alone.
#agreed
She looks hawt!
Pretty girl, terrible singer.
Lol.
Nice.
If this album doesn’t make her musically relevant again then it’s time to move to plan B Cici.
