Love and Hip Hop reunion rumors have been spreading like wildfire, and with the speculation that breakups, pregnancies, and even fight rumors will be confirmed at the reunion show; one would think all the hype for the reunion would translate into ratings. In fact, the rumor mill says that is exactly what Mona Scott Young was hoping the buzz would do, and once Joe Budden and Consequence confirmed that they did indeed fight (Consequence even “exposed” Joe Budden’s alleged boyfriend); Mona thought it would help the ratings that were already on the decline. But it turns out that despite the excitement people may have for the upcoming reunion, it seems like most of them have already given up on the show.
Despite a full week of reports of fights, breakups, and even cat fights at the reunion show; believe it or not, ratings for Love and Hip Hop have tanked to an all season low. The Monday after all the reunion show buzz, episode 10, which aired on March 18, only managed to bring in 1.51 million viewers. The numbers haven’t been that low since season one, and this is a massive drop considering the season premiere of season three managed to bring in 2.59 million viewers.
There’s a few reasons why the show just isn’t connecting with fans of the series. But one big reason is clearly the popularity of the spin-off show, Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. It’s obvious that viewers just find the Atlanta cast way more interesting than the New York cast, and just perhaps Mona’s plan to have yet another love triangle inspired by Stevie J. with Joe Budden/Tahiry/Kaylin may have backfired. Perhaps it didn’t intrigue viewers but reminded them how much Love and Hip Hop isn’t and never will be Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.

Damn. That’s low for LHH. I guess people have just given up and plan to just watch the reunion.
When keeping it real goes wrong. LOL.
I figured they were doing the most to save ratings. I find it hilarious that not only did it not work, but it made ratings worse. Back to the drawing board Mona.
Hilarious. I think reality TV is on its way out honestly. The same thing will happen to BBW too and I see BBW LA getting cancelled. RHOA probably has a couple more seasons, but Kenya Moore will go stale too and so will the show. Scandal and other scripted shows will demolish reality TV soon enough. It was bound to happen.
Good. These producers need to see that their stunts won’t always save a sorry show.
Agreed.
I’m just ready for LHHATL. And by the looks of these numbers, so is everyone else. Lmbo.
Exactly
This season is terrible. I still love Yandy though, so I watch it anyway.
Yandy & Mendeecees is the only reason why I watch! And every now-and-then I like to laugh at Joe cause he be sounding hella dumb when he talking in a monotone!
That’s what Mona gets for picking this dry a-s cast. Shaunie, you’re next boo.
I hope Shaunie is next. BBW needs to go away and never come back.
They can go ahead and take RHOA with them. I only like Porsha!
I LOVE Porsha! They say she may not come back. If they keep Kenya and get rid of Porsha, I might stop watching.
I’m surprised it’s even a million people watching this show. I thought the numbers would be much worse. I can’t even watch it longer than 10 minutes. It sucks this season.
I like it, Yandy and Mendeecees had me in tears!
Me too!
I’m only here for the antics of LHHATL. I could care less about the other LHH.
