Rapper Rick Ross seems to always find himself in the middle of controversy these days. Although he is still enjoying a successful rap career, Ross made headlines when it was confirmed that he was a corrections officer prior to his reign in rap music. The discovery was of course made by Rick Ross’ nemesis rapper 50 Cent, however, his beef with 50 surprisingly didn’t hinder his success any. But his “street creed” didn’t just manage to annoy 50 Cent. Turns out he’s found a way to anger notorious street gang Gangster Disciples. After Rick Ross put the gang’s founder’s name in his lyrics, the gang made threats on the rapper’s life in a series of videos. Upcoming converts were cancelled as a result of the threats, but Rick Ross made matters worse when he claimed in an interview that the concerts weren’t cancelled because of the threats and then suggested he wasn’t scared of the gang. These events led to Ross being the victim of a drive by shooting and eventually the rapper had to considerably beef up his security.

Now it appears Rick Ross finds himself in a brand new controversy, as his new rap lyrics have caused outrage. In the remix to Rocko’s song “You Don’t Even Know It,” Ross appears to rap about putting “Molly” in a woman’s drink, so he can take her home and have his way with the drugged up woman. And to many who have heard the verse, it just sounds like he’s rapping about date rape.

Here’s the lyrics:

Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it

Rick Ross hasn’t said anything yet on the growing controversy. But this could get ugly real fast.

  1. Sigh…these are the times that I get mad that Tupac and Biggie are are dead but clowns like these still get to live and make their crappy music.

      1. Actually the back side of a folded newspaper should not be facing upward IF they are reading the opposite side. If he was actually reading the paper (which he wasn’t) that back side of the paper should not be facing up. I guess you don’t read newspapers either. #MaybachMusic -_-

        1. -_-
Actually. I check my stocks daily.
Try this: take a piece of newspaper, fold it in half and then turn it over and look at it. It’s not an IPad with auto adjust, the words don’t magically flip around to accommodate you. #FAIL LOL. Thanks for the morning laugh tho.

          1. I’m glad you got a laugh. I surely laughed at loud at how you’re posing like you have stocks. He’s not reading the paper, that’s common sense considering that this is a staged photo shoot and it is upside down. Now go get yourself some real business, so you won’t have to front on here and write stank comments on blogs. #Dismissed

          2. You both are pretty sad to be arguing over a newspaper. The lyrics on this post are way more important than this stupid argument you are having over a picture that isn’t clear enough to prove either one of you are wrong. You females kill me picking each apart on blogs over the dumbest things when real issues are staring your right in the face. Stop it.

          3. @Huh? You’re right. My apologies to you and Ms. Thang. It’s all love. It wasn’t that serious, I’ll admit that we made it bigger than what it should have been. Love this site and the people on it. No beef over here. See you on the other post.

  2. Unbelievable! He’s a sick f*&k.

Also, I’d recommend switching up your title, which says this is causing controversy just among women. All people – men and women – are outraged about rape and his reference, and your title makes is seem like this is an issue that should just be upsetting to women.

    1. Among means associated and in reference to, the lyrics were in reference to women. There’s nothing wrong with the title. You’re the one that added “just” to the title. Smh.

    2. You must not read rap blogs. Men aren’t “outraged” by these lyrics. They’re actually clowning him because they say he has to date rape women to get some. They think this is funny. Men have never been outraged about women’s issues. You sound naive about the state of our country. Did you not read about the teen athletes who raped that girl and how most of the male students were harassing the victim and telling her to kill herself? They were outrage alright, at the victim! Our society doesn’t care about women. We can’t even get equal salaries. But keep nitpicking the title tho trying to sound educated.

  3. Rick Ross just wants attention. I’m starting to believe that the drive by shooting was also a stunt as well. These rappers are so pathetic.

  4. I love y’all but I’m disappointed some of you are on here arguing about the title of this post (the title isn’t even important btw) and whether or not the newspaper is upside down or not when the subject of the post is this serious. Smh.

    1. THANK YOU. I read some of these comments and had to shake my head. Who cares about the title or the newspaper? Smh at some of you.

  5. When I first read what Rick Ross alledgedly said I just shook my head in disappointment because that is just wrong and nasty. I didn’t even plan on listening to the song because I try not to support garbage. I listened to his part and if thats what he is implying(it seems like he said he mollied her and then took advantage of her and she didn’t even know it) I am disappointed because that is just wrong. Sometimes these rappers say things that aren’t right at all. Then some of the young and impressionable listening to this filth think that is what you’re supposed to do.Rape is about control it doesn’t matter if you were mollied before you were raped or not; either way it is wrong and raping and talking about taking advantage of someone who was drugged and inebriated is just wrong on so many levels. If you have to drug someone to get some you definitly aren’t deserving of that person and dont think that much of yourself.

  6. Rick Ross knows nothing about the life he raps about. Rape is never something you should brag about let alone put it in music for the world to hear. I’m done with him and all 3 of his stomachs.

  7. I’m so disappointed with Rick Ross. I won’t be supporting his music anymore. There is nothing funny or entertaining about rape / date rape.
