Beyonce has a new studio album set to drop this year, and although she’s still riding the wave from the whole “Bow Down” controversy, the singer is making news again for some new music she has on the way. Bey’s hubby Jay-Z is set to put an album together for the soundtrack for The Great Gasby remake. Jay has been billed as the soundtrack’s producer, and it appears that his wife’s recent collaboration with rapper Andre 3000 has inspired him to convince the duo do another track, and this time it will be a remake to the late and great Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black.” Here’s the report from E! News:
Beyoncé is going to do a Great job covering an Amy Winehouse hit.
E! News can exclusively reveal that the “Single Ladies” hitmaker has teamed up with Andre 3000 for a duet of the late singer’s “Back to Black” for the soundtrack of the upcoming remake of The Great Gatsby.
Jay-Z is producing the soundtrack, which will be released by Interscope Records. “It’s a very different take on ‘Back to Black,'” a record company source said.
The film is reportedly being released in theaters this Christmas, and the stars of the movie are Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire.
Beyonce and Andre 3000’s first collaboration went down in 2011 for her single “Party” for her 4 album. We have to admit we’re excited to see what both artists make of the remake and we have a feeling it will be as epic as their first in studio collaboration.
Yasss Bey and 3 Stacks. Can’t wait to hear it.
Just don’t mess it up.
I can only imagine how dope Andre 3000’s verse is going to be.
This should be good.
Excited.
They got 3 Stacks?! Oh, I know this is going to be dope. Love me some 3 Stacks.
Can’t wait for this version, the original is very good……With Bey it is going to be great……….
