Lil Scrappy Released from Jail, Says Warrant Was Bogus

Lil Scrappy released from jail today? Lil’ Scrappy may have patched things up with his off and on girlfriend and mother of his child Erica Dixon but the news concerning the rapper’s finances and legal troubles hasn’t been that great recently as Lil’ Scrappy was  hit with some bad news as it was reported that the police had issued a warrant for his arrest over some controversy surrounding a urine sample that Scrappy supposedly provided them with as a part of his probation over his 2008 “Mary Jane” arrest. Lil’ Scrappy’s urine sample apparently was questionable to police because it was said to have been cold when he gave it to them. A little cold pee was an issue but not the biggest one as Scrappy’s refusal to provide police with another sample was what led to the warrant being issued for his arrest. Before matters got worse for him, Scrappy went ahead and turned himself in to authorities, hand in hand with Erica on his way to do so, Momma Dee wasting no time with getting “Free Scrappy (in that order) t-shirts made.

Looks like Momma Dee can hold off on the shirts as of now as TMZ reports that Lil’ Scrappy has now been released from jail over the urine ordeal that led him to getting locked up. As far as the talk about him providing law enforcement officials with cold urine, Lil’ Scrappy tells TMZ that the warrant for his arrest over the alleged bad urine was a bogus one as Scrappy claims that he never gave the police a tampered sample period. Though Lil’ Scrappy is now a free man again, a judge granted Scrappy’s lawyer’s motion to recall the warrant that was issued against him, the rapper still having to appear in court for a hearing on May 16th to revisit the issues that have arisen.
