Carmelo Anthony Defends La La After She Drags NBA Player for Disrespecting Her

It’s been a little minute since the whole Kevin Garnett ‘Honey Nut Cheerios’ comment scandal first made headlines. But some people are just not trying to let it go. During a game between the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks, in the heat of trash talking, NBA star Kevin Garnett allegedly told Carmelo Anthony that his wife La La Anthony “tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios”. La La found the whole thing to be quite amusing and over the top as she said that Kevin never made the comment about her to Carmelo and didn’t know where that all came from. While La La may have laughed off the ‘Honey Nut Cheerios’ talk, she didn’t have nearly the same reaction to the ones that Boston Celtics guard Jordan Crawford made to her husband. At the end of Game 5 of the playoff series between the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics, Jordan Crawford felt the need to bring up the whole ‘Honey Nut Cheerios’ thing again and yelled to Carmelo in reference to Kevin Garnett:

“That muthaf*cker f*cked your wife!”

Melo’s teammate Raymond Felton was visibly heated while Melo looked to be taking the high road after Crawford’s comments. Carmelo Anthony spoke out about the incident to NY Daily News and says that he doesn’t blame La La one bit for being upset about Jordan Crawford’s comments as her name is always finding its way into the mix when it comes to the Celtics and the Knicks playing each other:

“I would be upset too if I were her. She always gets thrown into the mix of the Boston Celtics series. So I would be upset. She’s her own person and at the end of the day she has the right to say what she wants to say.”

While Carmelo came to his wife’s defense, La La definitely had no problem holding herself down as she dragged Jordan Crawford for his disrespectful comments:

“Try again. You on the bench for a reason.”
