Confirmed: R&B Singer Monica is Pregnant

R&B singer Monica has clearly been through a lot when it comes to her past romantic relationships, but she’s said several times in her interviews that she feels she found a gem in husband and NBA player Shannon Brown. The couple has been married for almost three years, and although Shannon has been a great role model to her two sons from her previous relationship with rapper Rocko, Monica had hopes she and Shannon would have children together at some point. Since Monica has been missing somewhat from the R&B scene, the rumors have been running rampant about her uterus. Gossip sites have been reporting for months now that the singer is expecting with her NBA hubby, but Monica herself has been mum on the rumors. However, yesterday she decided to confirm that she is indeed pregnant with her first child with Shannon Brown, and by the looks of the photo, the singer couldn’t be happier:

Fellow R&B singer Fantasia Barrino took to her Instagram account to congratulate Monica on her pregnancy. Fanny writes:

Congrats Baby!!! I am SOOOOO Happy for you @monicamylife. I Love You Much!!! Baby Shower Time….

We’re so happy for Monica. I remember listening to her on a local Atlanta radio station (V-103) about a year ago and she was talking about how happy she is to be married to Shannon. Monica said her relationship with Shannon was the first healthy relationship she’s ever been in and by the looks of that glow we see in that baby bump photo, it’s pretty clear she’s still very happy and very much in love. Congrats to Monica and Shannon.
