While everyone continues to speculate on whether or not Beyonce is pregnant with baby number two, it’s pretty clear that Jay-Z and Beyonce are enjoying being parents to their 16-month-old daughter Blue Ivy. In fact, the couple is enjoying parenthood so much that Beyonce says they definitely want to have more kids, and it’s something they want to do even more since both want Blue Ivy to have siblings, considering both Jay-Z and Beyonce were fortunate enough to have siblings themselves. Although no one in Beyonce’s camp is confirming or denying if she’s pregnant (the video some sites are referring to from Access Hollywood is an old denial from Tina Knowles that was taped before Blue Ivy), Jay-Z’s mom Gloria Carter is confirming that the rapper is an amazing father. She tells US Weekly:

“It warms my heart to see how he interacts with his daughter. And when she says, ‘Papa,’ he just melts. He’s a great dad.”

Gloria also says she enjoys the perks of being a grandmother:

“The amazing thing about being a grandmother is that you go get the kids, but when you’re tired, you can take them home!” (laughs)

Jay-Z’s mom is also keeping busy these days with the Shawn Carter Foundation, an organization that provides scholarship money for kids who have low GPAs and wouldn’t be able to afford schooling otherwise:

“When I did this, [Jay-Z] said ‘Ma, this is your baby.’ But when I need him to be here, he’s here because he believes in it too.”

In the meantime, she continues to brag on her grandchild BLue Ivy and says she’s already very smart and telling people “hello” and “bye” like a pro:

“She’s very very smart. “But [the TV show Babies Choice] teaches the babies that when you say hello, that means you’re going to be around. But when you say, ‘bye bye,’ it means you’re going to disappear. So when you’re around her, when she looks at you and she’s tired of you, she looks at you and she says, ‘bye bye!”

Too cute.

  1. I love it. It’s nothing better than seeing men stepping up and being fathers to their kids. Warms my heart. I wish more would do the same.
