D. Woods’ Danity Kane reunion absence is a pretty shady ordeal. Danity Kane was one girl group that had lots of promise. There was no shortage of talent in the group which was founded and put together by P. Diddy via his short-lived show on MTV, “Making the Band.” Although the group went on to crank out some hits and build a large and very solid fan base, the group met the same fate as many of Diddy’s Bad Boy artists and successful girl groups. Although  some of the members moved on and attempted to launch their own successful solo careers, it has now been confirmed that Danity Kane has decided to reunite. The now reunited girl group confirmed to TMZ recently that they were giving their music another shot together, and this time around they would not be dealing with Diddy, who they still blame for the demise of the group.

Interestingly enough, not all five members got the heads up about the reunion. Apparently, D. Woods didn’t get the memo and had to find out the news via Twitter. She tells Bijou Star of Hot 107. 9:

“I was surprised myself. (laughs) However, after seeing the pictures, after seeing the clip of the video, I saw that they were in Los Angeles. I am not in Los Angeles, so there goes the reason why I wasn’t in the picture. I’m actually in Atlanta right now. I’m in pre-production rehearsals for the new musical called “Rebirth.” That’s what I’m currently doing right now as we speak.

“I found out when my Twitter timeline went off the chain.”

Despite being left in the dark about the reunion, D. Woods says she’ll still support her former group members, but she has plenty of things to look forward to individually career-wise:

“I mean we did go our separate ways in fall of 2008. And since then I’ve been really putting my energy towards these other projects.”

  1. That’s cold. But honestly, I don’t see it working out for these girls. Nobody cares about girl groups anymore.

    1. Right. They should have at least told her and explained they didn’t want her to be a part of it.

    1. How D. Woods turnt her back on them girls. She got the Big Head when Puffy singled her out of the group.

      1. I’m going to be honest. I don’t know much about these girls. They weren’t big stars, so my memory is fuzzy. But the thing with Diddy is he’s a crook, and known for brainwashing people. If she “left” them because of something Diddy said, can’t fault her too much. And that Dawn girl was a little puppet of his too at one time, right? They need to drop the beef and forgive each other. By starting off spiteful and nasty, they are setting themselves up to fail again. It’s not our job to get revenge on people & God doesn’t like ugly…no matter who started it. IJS.

        1. Yes Dawn was truly his puppet. I’ve always thought D. Woody had the best vocie but she let everybody and their mother tell her how pretty she was from the rest and it went to her head

  2. I honestly don’t think I care about Danity Kane anymore. I think they should just stay where they are.

  3. Damn son. What did she do to these girls for them to do her like this? She had to do something. Hmm…

  4. Years ago D. Woods said at their reunion on MTV with P. Diddy beside her that she does want to be associated with Danity Kane and P. Diddy was making her a solo artist…which was funny because it was D. Woods and P. Diddy against the other girls…and he put D in a group/back up singer with him….She diss her boyfriend and them girls because Diddy said he was going to make her a star….but we saw what happen, he cut her a@@ out too

  5. I like Danity Kane, though I never liked D. Woods voice, but I did like her style. I don’t think she had the best voice (Shannon as well). Just my opinion.

  6. D. Woods wasn’t in the group with Diddy… Dawn was. And she is independent now, not with Diddy.

    D. Woods and Aubrey were kicked out the group prior to the split. Still don’t know how the reunion will work (if it does).
