The tennis world has been dominated by super talented sisters Venus and Serena Williams for a good minute. And when it comes to winning on the tennis court, these sisters have it down to a science. Before the duo, tennis was pretty much just a sport dominated by Caucasians, but it now appears that the Williams sisters have started a trend, as up and coming tennis star Sloane Stephens has already proven that she will be the next big star in the sport, and by beating Serena on the court at the Australian Open quarterfinals, she’s already earned her respect in the game. However, in a recent interview with ESPN The Magazine, she claims although she considered Serena a mentor, she was shocked and outraged that Serena would cut her out her life for simply beating her on the court. Sloane says:
“She’s not said one word to me, not spoken to me, not said hi, not looked my way, not been in the same room with me since I played her in Australia. And that should tell everyone something, how she went from saying all these nice things about me to unfollowing me on Twitter.
“Like, seriously! People should know. They think she’s so friendly and she’s so this and she’s so that — no, that’s not reality! You don’t unfollow someone on Twitter, delete them off of BlackBerry Messenger. I mean, what for? Why?”
Sloane also said she felt Serena subtweeted her when she cryptically tweeted “I made you,” recently.
Why can’t we all just get along smh?
Girl have a seat. You’re mad because she kicked you off BB Messenger and unfollowed you on Twitter. It’s not that serious. And definitely not worth talking about to the media about. My goodness.
Oh Lawd…I really wished she would have just called Serena about this vs. telling the magazine. It’s hard enough as it is being black and playing tennis. They need to stop this.

Childish for Serena to get mad but she’s childish for throwing her under a bus about it. I’m disappointed that she really did an interview about this…
Serena is really competitive. She takes her losses very hard. Sloane should have just given her the time she needed to get over it and then squashed it. This will do their relationship no justice and she sounds just as petty.
