Kenya Moore Vows to Fight Back Against Landlord in Court

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore may have secured another season on the hit Bravo reality show, but she’s having just as much drama as she had on season five in her real life these days. As we reported recently, Kenya’s landlord of her Atlanta mansion has sued the reality star, and the landlord claimed in paperwork filed in the court Kenya was behind on rent. Kenya of course denied the claims, but failed to show up to her court date, and the landlord easily won the case. Although the judge has ruled in favor of the landlord and paperwork confirms Kenya’s eviction, Kenya called into the Wendy Williams show this morning and claims she plans to fight back in court. She tells Wendy:

“We never got notice of our court date, so that’s going to be overturned. We will have another court date – it isn’t over until the fat lady sings. This is absolutely absurd. I’ve paid this woman [the landlord] over $52,000.00 in rent, and she has as $6,000.00 security deposit of mine.

“I have paid her May rent and paid her June, and my lease is over in three weeks, so this whole thing is absolutely ridiculous. The tea is she’s taking her ex-husband back to court. I can’t help it if I live a fabulous life and she can no longer afford to be in the house. When I didn’t move out when she wanted me to, and she’s supposed to give me 60 days notice, every day she was coming in and out of the house!

“It has gotten really crazy. I almost had to get a restraining order against her. That’s how scared I was to where we had to put up cameras. I hope we have a great outcome next week. Losers never win. When this is over, she will know, don’t come for me until I send for you.”

Kenya also tells Wendy she has no desire to stay in the home and will leave because she doesn’t want to stay where she isn’t wanted, however she has not missed any rent payments.
