Soulja Boy broke? Rapper Soulja Boy isn’t as hot in the music scene as he was a few years ago, and as a result of his now fizzled out music career, the young artist has now shifted his attention to securing business deals outside of music. However, business deals haven’t been able to keep the rumors suggesting he is having money problems at bay. In fact, Soulja Boy was just slapped with a lawsuit by a jeweler in Atlanta for an outstanding debt of $60,000. The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports:
A Buckhead jeweler is suing Atlanta rapper Soulja Boy for more than $60,000, claiming the singer has refused to pay an outstanding debt.
Icebox Custom Jewelry filed the suit this week in Fulton County State Court. Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Way, and his company, Soulja Boy Tellem Music Inc., are named in the suit, which seeks repayment of the debt plus interest and other damages.
Efforts were being made to reach Soulja Boy for comment.
Icebox, which is on Peachtree Street a few blocks from Lenox Square mall, said Soulja Boy purchased several pieces of jewelry for $45,144 in October 2011 and later that same year bought more jewelry and requested several repairs at a total cost of $15,726.
The publication also says the jeweler claims in court documents numerous attempts were made to collect the debt incurred by the rapper, but he just hasn’t been cooperative.
Rumors suggest Soulja Boy turned down an offer to appear on season two of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta because he feels his brand is above the reality show, but if he is having money problems, perhaps he should reconsider. But considering he did just get back together with Scrappy’s ex Diamond recently, just maybe he is.
All that money he spent on that gaudy jewelry could have been invested into a business, stocks, savings…etc. These rappers are stupid.

These rappers spend their money like it can never run out. And when it does, they can’t understand how it happened. Smh.
