Kanye West caught a lot of flak for naming his new album “Yeezus,” but he caused just as much controversy when it was confirmed he actually has a song entitled “I Am a God.” Although many people have slammed the rapper for labeling himself as a deity, Kanye seems to think the album title makes sense. But in a recent interview with W Magazine, he actually scoffed at the criticism when the interviewer asked him why he would make such a song. Kanye says:
“I made that song because I am a god. I don’t think there’s much more explanation. I’m not going to sit here and defend sh*t. That sh*t is rock ’n’ roll, man. That sh*t is rap music. I am a god. Now what?”
And when it comes to his girlfriend Kim Kardashian, Kanye actually says he thinks they have real love because Kim allowed him to spearhead her new style:
“Nobody can tell my girl what to do. She just needed to be given some platforms of information to work from…one beautiful thing is that as she discovers it, the world discovers it. For her to take that risk in front of the world, it just shows you how much she loves me. And how much she actually loves the opportunity to learn. You got, like, a million companies saying, ‘This is impacting your brand! This is impacting your fans! And blah blah blah.’ But she still sees this light of beauty.”
Interestingly enough, he does talk a little about his “adult video.” While earlier reports suggested he was thinking of selling it, the rapper later decided not to. But Kanye says selling the tape would have surely helped his career:
“For the most part, I’d rather people have one of those home videos than some of the paparazzi photos that get published. At least I recorded the sh*t myself. That tape couldn’t have hurt me in any way if it came out—it could only have helped.”
Despite pretending as if he doesn’t care about anything or anyone’s opinions, Kanye does say he actually cares about “everything.” Even the Grammys, he says:
“I care. I care about everything. Sometimes not giving a f*ck is caring the most.”
Umm I don’t think God would chose Kim Kardashian to bear his child lol.
Well… there was Rahab… soooooo there is precedent. lol!
Kanye has really lost his mind. If it wasn’t for his fans, he would have been forgotten a few albums ago. Very overrated.

Yeah, after reading that part about the sex tape, I’m convinced Kim and Kanye deserve each other.
It’s crazy how a mediocre rapper can be this cocky.
Smh. This is why I’m not a fan anymore. He’s so cocky yet his music is terrible. That album sucks.

I actually don’t have an issue with the god thing… as long as it is kept in perspective. I believe that we are all gods. We simply don’t see the light within ourselves.

I don’t think that we are saying dissimilar things. I believe that there is a difference between The God and a god. One is the Alpha and the Omega. No argument there. However the other was made by The God in the image of The God.
When you look into the mirror you see you image in the mirror, when you raise your hand your image raises it’s hand. When you turn around your image turns around. Whatever you do your image also does. Whatever you ‘can’ do your image also ‘can’ do.
God made me in his image. Whatever he can do I can also do. The ONLY difference is that I don’t have the faith that he has. The more my faith grows the more powerful I become.
