With the performance Ciara put on for this year’s BET Awards, the anticipation for the singer’s new album has been turned up a notch. The singer has changed things up a few times on her self-titled album she is about to release. And though Ciara switching things up caused some concern among her fans as they are rooting for her to make an official comeback, things are looking pretty good so far for CiCi as her hit song “Body Party” climbed the charts and has yet to come down as the song became Ciara’s hottest single as a solo artist since “Ride.” Even with all the success “Body Party” has seen and the reaction she is getting from those who have heard “Ciara” already, Ciara realizes the album isn’t guaranteed to do well on the charts and she says she is okay with that. Regardless, Ciara is on a mission to promote her new album as much as possible. And she has some good news for the C-Squad as they are now able to stream the full album on iTunes.
Here’s a snippet of the press release highlighting all the stops CiCi plans to make before her new album is released:
The anticipation for Ciara’s self-titled new album, releasing July 9(th) , is already intense, but starting today, fans can exclusively stream the full album on iTunes. Ciara’s legions of fans will have a week-long opportunity to hear the new album in its entirety via an exclusive stream on iTunes (at www.iTunes.com/Ciara). In addition, she’ll be on hand to answer questions during an iTunes Twitter chat for US and Canadian fans (@iTunesMusic, #AskCiara) at 3:30 pm, EST.
Today, Ciara will also release two new video snippets from a series of five that she created from five different tracks off of the album with the help of director Hannah Lux Davis. “I did video snippets of many of the songs on the album for my fans so they can have the best experience of my music possible,” explains Ciara. “I wanted my fans to see the music for the first time while they are also hearing it.”
In addition, Ciara’s performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live and appearance on Chelsea Lately will air tonight. Starting on July 8(th) , Ciara will begin the first of five appearances airing Monday-Friday on BET’s 106 & Park. She’ll continue the blitz throughout the week with performances on Good Morning America, Live with Kelly and Michael and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
In related news, Ciara recently dropped the music video for her new single with the Head Barbie. Peep Ciara’s video for “I’m Out” featuring Nicki Minaj below:
I just don’t care for this song. It sounds like nothing but noise.
Meh. I don’t like this song. Her BET Awards performance gave me life though.
I didn’t like her BET performance. Ciara could’ve came harder than that.
Not bad. The video was pretty nice but the song is mediocre.
I’m feelin this video. I can’t wait for Ciara to drop.
Their BET Awards Performance > the video
Agreed. This song is weak though.
L.A. Reid is in full promo mode for Ciara. I think it will debut number one next week.
Yawn. And to think, some idiot compared this to Michael and Janet’s video for Scream. Smh.
Now THAT is funny. LOL!!!
Even though Ciara had a good performance at the BET awards I am still not confident in her. This im out record doesn’t sound like a hit after body party she should have a big hit to follow up with. I’m almost convinced someone is trying to sabotage her career because this song is not a good look in my opinion.
I agree. This song is not a good followup to Body Party.
Body Party is better
She’s going to flop…watch.
Ciara is going to shock a lot of people when those album sale numbers are revealed. Keep doubting her.
Just like I didn’t care for Body Party until I saw the video, the same goes for this one. Despite the obvious, I just really hope her album does well. I’m not a big Ciara fan by any means, but I can see that she’s working hard… and I can’t do anything but send positive vibes, taking that into consideration. So, good luck to her.
