Evelyn Lozada talks about Chad again in a new interview. Evelyn is set to make her return to reality television as it’s been confirmed that a new season of “Basketball Wives” will premiere in August, but she’s managed to stay in the headlines outside of the show thanks to her quickie and very rocky marriage to former NFL star Chad Johnson. As you probably know, the marriage went south after Chad was arrested for head butting the reality star, and after numerous Twitter beefs and vicious rumors, it’s pretty clear a reconciliation will never happen at this point. However, Evelyn recently chatted it up with Latina Magazine and spoke a little more about her rocky relationship with Chad and she even explained why she feels she was so violent on “Basketball Wives.” Here are the highlights of the interview.
On anticipating the world’s reaction to the news of Chad’s violence towards her:
“At that point, I knew my life would never be the same. I knew the world was going to laugh at me and be mean and nasty and blame me for everything. But I had no choice. I had to go to the hospital.”
On her violent behavior on “Basketball Wives,” Evelyn says:
“I’m not going to blame VH1—whatever I put out there, I put out there. When we were in the middle of an arguement, I wasn’t thinking, ‘Maybe this is going to be hurtful.’ I was thinking, ‘You’re not gonna beat me in this argument!’”
Evelyn also says that despite what a lot of people believe, she never put a finger on Chad:
“A lot of people connected my previous actions on the show to this. If they were talking about the incident on the news, there would be a clip of me acting a fool on Basketball Wives. I never lifted a finger at him.”
Evelyn also says the situation with Chad has inspired her to start a foundation for other victims of domestic violence called Pain Is Not Love. She also revealed she has hired life coach Tony Gaskins, Jr. and also got re-baptized in an effort to change her life:
“Tony was talking to me about soul ties, and I felt like I needed to cut that cord [with Johnson]. I wanted to do things differently, to start over. I’m still going to be Evelyn, but I have a different vision of my life.”

The August issue of Latina Magazine hits newsstands on July 9.
Since basketball wives is coming back on Evillyn is on her sympathy tour knock it off. She can’t be mad that people connected the two situations. She gets zero sympathy from me.
#Cosign
She didn’t deserve the treatment she received from he media and others for what she did on BBW. She was merely following producer’s orders.
-_-
She’s a grown up and had the choice. Would you follow producers orders to throw bottles and plates at people?? That could land you in jail!
Evelyn wanted to parlay this abuse situation into a new reality show but its not working out for her.
Girl please. She hasn’t changed. Didn’t she just call Royce a non MF factor a few days ago?
LOL!
These life coaches Eve hired will not help her change her perception she has on TV. She cemented her legacy once she jumped on that table and threw that bottle on camera.
Evelyn needs to just go somewhere and sit down. I don’t need her on my TV any more. I hope she gets her life together but I don’t want to see if.
I hope she is stepping it up for her daughter’s sake.
I can’t even take her seriously. It’s amazing how she’s trying to milk this situation still.
I would like to make a request that Evelyn be added to my “Top 20 List of Annoying Celebrities”. She will NOT quit with this sympathy bit. Someone wrote above that she was doing what the producers told her….PUHLEASE! Evelyn is an adult. No one needs to give her the actions and consequences speech. You act like a biotch on TV then you will be treated like a biotch.
