More news on Kerry Washington and Nnamdi Asomugha. “Scandal” star Kerry Washington shocked a lot of people when multiple reports confirmed she married NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha, especially since most people had no idea they were even dating. Now that it’s already been proven that a wedding did go down secretly last month, very few details have been revealed about Kerry’s once very secret romance. While multiple reports suggest Kerry and Nnamdi dated for a year before getting hitched, a new report from the NY Daily News suggests they were actually together for years and no one knew. Interestingly enough, a source close to the couple tells the publication Kerry almost turned down her now husband because she was completely against ever dating athletes. But it would be Nnamdi’s response to Kerry’s sassy lack of interest that pretty much made her consider changing her stance. The NY Daily News writes:
Kerry Washington and her new husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, started dating a few years ago after he and a mutual friend of theirs went to see Kerry on Broadway in “Race,” we are reliable informed. Kerry told Nnamdi that she didn’t date athletes, and he told her he didn’t date actresses, but they got together anyway. Nnamdi, a four-time All-Pro cornerback, is entering his 11th NFL season, his first with the 49ers.
We’re assuming Kerry changed her mind about not dating athletes when se realized Nnamdi wasn’t the average athlete. As we reported recently, he does a lot of community service and even has a bachelor’s degree in finance from University of California, Berkeley. He’s also just as private as she is.
I don’t blame her for not wanting to date athletes. Most of them are nothing but sluts anyway! But he seems like a good guy, so hopefully this works out.
Smart woman. And his response was awesome. LOL.
Dating athletes is not the easiest thing to do.
I’m pretty sure he has a few side pieces. No athlete goes without a few.

Nnamdi seemed to be the faithful type when I knew him in college. I wish them well.
This story just make me like them more as a couple.
Sigh…Kerry better do it. And he is very handsome too. Kerry is killing the game right now! LOL.
