It’s Official: Raven-Symone Comes out the Closet

Is Raven Symone marrying a woman? Raven-Symone has always been one to keep her personal life under wraps. And for years, many have speculated about the actress’ sexual preference as whispers suggested that Raven-Symone was a lesbian. Raven responded to the rumors in the past and plainly said her business is her business when it comes to who she chooses to carry on a romantic relationship with. Now it appears Raven has finally revealed the answer to the ongoing question about her sexuality based on a tweet she sent out today in reference to the Supreme Court overturning the DOMA and legalizing gay marriage in the states of Rhode Island and Minnesota.

She tweeted:

“I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you”

Not only did people take Raven’s tweet as her officially coming out but they also thought Raven was going to be headed down the aisle very soon. However, Raven-Symone and her rep clarified the tweet to toofab and they both claim while the actress is thrilled about the Supreme Court’s decision, she isn’t getting married anytime soon:

“I am very happy that gay marriage is opening up around the country and is being accepted. I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to.”

Raven’s rep adds, “Raven is not getting married. She was just supporting the fact that she heard on NPR that more states legalized gay marriage today.”
