R. Kelly Speaks on Rumors Suggesting He Slept with K. Michelle

The R Kelly and K Michelle relationship appears to be a great one as K. Michelle has pinned the R&B legend as her mentor and one of her biggest influences when it comes to her music. K. even claims herself to be the female R. Kelly as she feels they share a lot in common musically. With all the success K. Michelle is starting to see with her music as her debut album “Rebellious Soul” is slaying the charts, she has expressed her gratitude to R. Kelly for helping her perfect her craft as she looks to do more great things with her music career. However, knowing R. Kelly’s past of getting romantically involved with people he has worked with, many couldn’t help but to assume that he and K. had possibly hooked up. And the recent comments he made about K. Michelle has raised some eyebrows when it comes to their relationship.

During an interview he did with The Streetz 94.5′s “Morning Grind Show,” R. Kelly was asked about whether or not he has gotten a chance to hear K.’s new album. And when the interviewer tells R. Kelly that K. wants to personally play her new album for him, his response gave people the impression that he and K. have slept together before. R. Kelly talked about hanging out with K. Michelle after a show and says he was told he had a “very good time” backstage:

He says:

“Personally? Okay, alright, okay. We’ve sat and had sessions and listened to uh, uh, uh music and drinks and we had a lot of fun. We’ve listened to some music and took a couple of drinks backstage after my show and things like that…We did have a couple of drinks after the show, the Single Ladies tour and she did say she was she was single at one point. And then I got drunk and I don’t know what happened after that…I woke up and they told me that I had a very good time. I had to trust ’em.”

R. Kelly wasted no time clarifying what he said about K. Michelle and their meeting backstage once people started talking. And he says he has nothing but respect for her and nothing ever went down between them. K. Michelle also made it clear she didn’t take offense to R. Kelly’s comments at all as she knows people often read too much into things (Read from bottom to top):
