R&B singer Chris Brown was expected to be the younger generation’s Michael Jackson, but the night he assaulted his then girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, things took a very drastic turn. Now in 2013, Chris can’t seem to do much to make people move on from the assault, and a lot of people have made it clear they have no desire to ever stop bringing up the incident with Rihanna. Those close to Chris have said it has become a very troubling thing for the singer, and despite his claims of maturity, he’s still had trouble since the incident. Chris seems to think that trouble finds him and his close friend Sean Kingston seems to agree, and he even said that it was Frank Ocean that started that infamous brawl in the parking lot of the recording studio several months ago.
It was made clear in recent Twitter rants that Chris has grown tired of the criticism, and after escaping jail time for a recent hit and run charge, the singer went off on Twitter after he learned he would have to redo 1000 hours of his community service. In the bizarre rant, Chris slammed the prosecutors and even appeared to have taken jabs at Jay Z and Beyonce. In his recent interview with JET Magazine (he covers the October 14 issue), Chris explains his issue with the rapper and simply says he feels Jay Z gets a pass while the media remains brutal to him:
“The media is full of yellow journalism. A lot of things I say, they will flip it. Instead of them getting off on all the positive stuff that I do, they will bring out the negative and draw out that story.
“No disrespect, because I’m a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that [Jay Z] stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass.”
Chris also discusses his anger issues and says he is still a work in progress:
“You have to go through the struggle before you can get to the good part. I don’t try to lash out at people, or be as mad or impulsive as I used to be. I got to the point where it’s only so much you can take from the master, you feel me? I’ve taken my fair share of lashings.”
And of course he did speak a little about Karrueche and Rihanna, and defends his choice of making that infamous video on which he confessed to being in love with both at the same time:
“Relationships are the most difficult part. That’s why I was honest with those two girls and I put out that video. My ex and I broke up because of the “situation” and she had moved on. I fell in love with another girl. Then my ex came back, so it was like, ‘What is a man to do?’ I told them both the truth. I didn’t do the sucker role.”

I don’t think Chris understands that what Jay Z did happened in his past, but he has proven on numerous occasions that he is not that person anymore. Chris has had lots of trouble since Rihanna, so people don’t think he’s changed any.

Chris please have several seats. You can’t act a damn fool on a regular basis and then get mad that people bring up the Rihanna thing. You bring drama on yourself. Grow up.
He has a point BUT you he can’t expect people to move on from the incident if he keeps getting into trouble.
He is right, no matter how you want to slice it, Jay Z does get a pass on what he did back in the day. But he has to pay attention and understand that Jay gets a pass because he keeps out of trouble now and chills out. I love Chris, but he has to learn how to chill out. If he doesn’t, he can’t be surprised people think he’s some angry person with violent tendencies.
He needs to worry about that album that’s going to flop when it comes out. LOL.

It’s so obvious Crhis didn’t get enough whooping when he was a child. He’s not humble at all and needs to take some lessons from Mike Vick on how to properly come back from bad decisions the public isn’t trying to forget. You have to show growth or people will keep bringing up your past.
We bring up Mick Vick but Mick Vick was convicted and sentenced to 3 yrs of jail time for fighting dogs & cruelty to animals. We have people out here like Mike Zimmerman who killed an unarmed teen and got no jail time nor a record at all and look at what he is doing. Yet they found a way to praise him for saving a family in a car crash. It doesn’t matter what Chris Brown does, if the media and the world are against him they are against him. He can cause all kind of chaos or be a model citizen and he is still gonna be the dude that has an anger problem. It’s just his bad luck. I am not mad at him. He did something wrong, not justifying him but Rihanna went back to him and men are out here doing much worse to women all around the world. Whether he wants to or not, he has to get his shit together because he is in the public eye. If people stay off his back & out his business than maybe it will be easier for him to become this changed man that everyone expects him to be.
