Rapper The Game normally makes headlines for his rather controversial behavior and Twitter rants. However most recently, the rapper has been getting press for some very positive things. The Game joined Drake earlier last week in donating $20,000 to a woman in Ohio who tragically lost her boyfriend and five children in a house fire. Prior to him donating money to the Ohio woman who lost her family in a fire, Game did another very generous and kind thing as he, along with Snoop Dogg (Lion), helped pay for the funeral of a 6-year-old girl who lost her life during a shooting in California. Game now has plans to take his generosity to another level as he plans to extend his giving to people all across the world. The Game plans to put $1 million towards the Robin Hood Project to help the less fortunate and he explains the details of the project:
“It’s a hand-to-hand project. If I see someone who looks like they could use it and my heart tells me I should contribute to their struggles, I’ll give them something. The direction comes from within.”
The project has only be around for about three weeks now but already Game has donated close to $80,000 and he is getting a massive amount of phone calls from his numerous celebrity friends who are looking to be a part of the great cause. The Game fully understands his involvement in this type of thing doesn’t exactly match up to his rough and tough image and he admits to being shocked when people praise him for his good deed:
“When people tell me what I’m doing is great, I’m like, ‘Are you talking to me? I’m The Game! I’m dangerous!’ But doing all of these acts has brought a tremendous amount of positivity to my life. I’m still who I am at the core, but I have a heart.”
Very dope Game.
Awesome!
Nice. Good to see him giving back.
That’s awesome.
Love it.
I love to read stuff like this. Kudos to the Game for stepping up and using his success to help someone else out. More people need to do the same.
