Chris Brown new movie Battle of the Year flops? Chris Brown’s music career was deemed to be a very promising one from the moment the singer dropped his first single. And it took no time at all for Chris to become one of the biggest young stars in the music industry. Chris Brown has seen a lot of success and is often praised for the incredible amount of talent he has, his assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna is an incident people still hang over his head and refuse to let him move past despite the apologizes he has offered. It even got to point where Chris contemplated quitting music over his frustration with how he was being treated by the media and critics while other artists “get a pass” for their past behavior.
Chris’ thoughts of retirement quickly faded though as the singer continues to keep himself busy in the studio and acting in movies. Chris’ recent film “Battle of the Year” hit theaters this weekend and was thought to be one that would bring in big numbers like the rest of the movies Chris has starred in. Unfortunately, Team Breezy wasn’t pressed to catch their fave’s recent flick as Singersroom reveals that Chris Brown’s latest film “Battle of the Year” flopped in comparison to the other movies the singer has done:
“Whatever the reason, “Battle of the Year” is Chris Brown’s first movie to “bomb.” In comparison, “Takers” (2010), opened with $20.5 million in receipts and went on to earn over $57 million domestically ($69.055 million worldwide). “Think Like A Man (2012),” though he had a smaller role, opened with $33.6 million in receipts and went on to earn $96.070 million worldwide. “This Christmas” (2007) opened with $17.9 million and grossed $49 million worldwide.”
His album is going to flop too. LOL.
I don’t know why they keep making these dance competition movies. Who wants to pay $10 to see that?
It honestly looks like something that should have went straight to DVD. I hate dance movies.
Looks terrible! Sorry Chris!
Damn Team Breezy yall won’t even go see his movies either? It’s bad enough yall don’t buy his albums. LOL!
Who wants to see a movie where all people are doing is dancing? I sure don’t.
So is he going to cry on Twitter about this too?
No one wanted to see this because the whole premise of it sucked. If I want to see Chris dance, I see that for free on YouTube.
It has no plot and dance movies are played out. Of course it flopped.
By the previews alone, I knew it’s not something I wanted to see.
It’s another of many corny dance movies. People don’t want to those types of movies.
You can’t really blame him for this movie flopping. It looked wack from the previews and I doubt any actor could have made it worth going to see. But I can see where it doesn’t help him considering he’s derailing his career with his poor decisions at the moment.
