Lamar Odom child support battle continues amid alleged drug addiction controversy? Lamar Odom has a lot of drama taking center in his life as of late. As we recently reported, the NBA star has been accused of having such a nasty substance abuse problem that it has driven a wedge in his marriage to reality star Khloe Kardashian. While many suspected the couple’s marriage was on the rocks because several women have accused the ball player of carrying on affairs with them behind Khloe’s back, those close to the Kardashian clan claim the real problem with their marriage is Lamar’s alleged substance abuse issue. There’s been conflicting reports on what the NBA player is addicted to, and so far we’ve heard everything from crack, c*caine and prescription pills.
Just the other day a New York based drug dealer claimed that he has dealt Lamar drugs during his trips to New York, and the alleged dealer even claimed he watched Lamar get high before one of his games back in February. Regardless, Lamar’s camp isn’t saying much and with the recent DUI arrest Lamar just got hit with last week, it’s clear that the basketball player’s career may be in jeopardy too. But if those problems weren’t big enough, a new report from the New York Post claims the professional athlete also has a child support battle coming up this month.
According to the publication, Lamar Odom’s ex and baby mama Liza Morales is set to face off with Lamar this month and she’s demanding an increase in child support payments. Apparently Morales is asking that the payments be increased from $10,000 a month to $25,000. Interestingly enough, Lamar’s attorney Robert Michaels claims the trial has been postponed “indefinitely,” and he’s claiming it has nothing to do with Lamar’s current drama. However, the New York Post confirmed with the court that as of now, the hearing is still on the calendar for September 12.
As far as the current drama going on with Lamar Odom, Liza Morales has been quiet as a mouse. But when the cheating allegations began to go viral insanely back in August, she did cryptically tweet:
