Rapper Lil Boosie Could Be Released from Jail in a Few Months

Lil Boosie released from prison in the next few months? If you follow the down south Hip Hop scene, then you probably already know “Free Boosie” has been a popular phrase since the Baton Rogue rapper was sent to prison in 2009. Boosie was arrested after police found weed and a gun in his car, and he pled guilty to third-degree possession of m*rijuana and the rapper was sentenced to two years in prison. Unfortunately for Boosie, his sentence was doubled after the judge found out he had violated probation while awaiting sentencing.
Boosie’s legal troubles only worsened while he served his original sentence for being in possession of weed as he was indicted on charges of first degree murder. The rapper was accused of killing Terry Boyd, and he also faced three counts of possession with intent to distribute narcotics and three counts of conspiracy to commit possession of contraband to a penal institution. However, Boosie claimed he was innocent and in 2012 he was found not guilty of first-degree murder. Although he is still in prison for his drug charges, his attorneys are now claiming the rapper could get out of prison as early as a few months. Rolling Stone journalist Jeff Weiss confirmed on Twitter that he had spoken to Boosie’s lawyers and they said he could be released in a few months. He tweets:
Just got word that judges have agreed to give back Boosie’s hard drives and computers. It means a whole lot of new Boosie music coming soon.
No official release date yet for Boosie’s return. But his attorneys say no more than four to five months from today.
