Drake and Future were reportedly at odds something serious after Future made some rather controversial comments about Drake’s latest album “Nothing Was the Same.” In fact, Future told Billboard that he didn’t feel like Drake’s new music could touch people the way his music does. Here’s the exact quote that caused all the drama between him and Drake:
“Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do. I want to make you want to fall in love.”
Apparently Drake didn’t appreciate the comments, especially since Future made the remarks just a couple of days after the album was released. Both artists were said to be going on tour together with R&B singer Miguel, but the New York Post via Page Six claimed that a source close to Future said Drake kicked him off tour over the comments. In fact, Future was so heated about being dropped that he was said to be just days away from filing a lawsuit against the Young Money Records star, and it was claimed he would sue for a whopping $1.5 million, the amount Future was set to make from the tour.
Future’s camp also claimed that they had talks a few days ago in which Future was told he could come back on tour only if he agreed to a massive pay cut, and Future felt it was a snake move made by Drake and his camp. But now it’s being reported by Atlanta radio station Hot 107.9 that Drake has had a change of heart and re-invited Future. Beestroh says:
“Yes, it’s true. Future is back on tour with Drake. Future is back on tour with Drake, everyone can calm down now. A little misunderstanding and my reliable sources told me they came to an agreement late last night, papers are signed. Time to get that money once again.”
Still no word from Drake or Future’s camps just yet, but we do know Hot 107.9 has a very tight relationship with Future, so we’re thinking this is true. Check out the clip below.
Well good. Hopefully, Future has learned to keep some things to himself next time.
LOL. Future will watch what he says in interviews now I bet.
LOL! I bet Future is shook now and will stop talking trash about other people’s music. He’s always hyping himself up way too much at the expense of people who are more talented.
He knows his place now.
He must have apologized.
I still feel like Drake overacted. Future has a right to his opinion and it wasn’t disrespectful.
Drake does not play! Gotta respect it!
Now if Future pulls this again and talks ish about people he works with, he’s really an idiot.
Future needed the money for all these kids he fathered. He probably apologized and realized it’s cheaper to keep his mouth shut from now on.
I’m glad they worked it out but Future needs to stop running his mouth so much.
Future got humbled. It happens.
