Kendrick Lamar is having the career many new emcees could only wish for these days, and now that his latest album “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City” has officially gone platinum, he’s scooping up lots of awards and praise for the record many are already labeling as a Hip Hop classic. But Kendrick is still hungry and he made it clear that his goal is to become one of the greatest who ever picked up the mic. Looks like he’s well on his way considering he just did a photo shoot with one of the biggest names in the photography business, Terry Richardson. Terry is definitely one of the greats himself, and he has a huge catalogue of big stars that he’s snapped photos of. One of his most notable spreads was with pop star Rihanna and he recently did a spread with Kendrick for Document Magazine. Check out a few of the snaps below (Photo Credit: Terry Washington/Terry’s Diary on Tumblr):
In related news, the Compton rapper also made it clear he’s done talking about his controversial verse in “Control.” He tells XXL Magazine (He covers the November-October issue):
“I think I said everything I need to say on Peter Rosenberg, Hot 97. If people don’t get it from there, then I don’t feel [I need] to explain myself any more. I think they’ll run it down to the ground rather than me. You know, I just wrote a verse. I think everybody’s just taking it to the ground and don’t want to let it go. I spoke my piece on Hot 97. If people wanna take it further than there, that’s their entertainment. I’m on a whole ‘nother plateau of thinking now. That was just for that moment of writing a verse. That’s how I feel about it.”
He’s a cutie pie.
Look at you lol 😉
LOL! Yeah he is cute. Just short as hell.
Don’t worry Kendrick we’re all tired of talking about that Control verse.
Word.
Nice photos. I’m so happy Kendrick blew up the way he did. He deserves it.
He’s cute in a weird way.
Yeah people are still talking about that verse. And they ask every rapper that has an interview what they think about it. It definitely helped his name get out there more.
Nice. I wonder if he started working on his next album yet. There’s so much pressure on him to make another classic. That’s got to be stressful.
He’s so overrated to me. I just don’t understand the hype.
Get it Kendrick.
I’m ready for his next album. I hope he keeps coming with that fire.
People really do need to let it go. That should show you how much hip hop is lacking now. One dope verse causing this much controversy? For what? It’s time for rappers to start actually rapping and stop bragging about throwing their money away on jewlery and women over music.
Kendrick got all these rappers out here nervous. LOL I love it.
Yea he shouldn’t talk about it anymore the verse speaks for itself. That photographer always looks creepy.
His verse on control was alright. I mean I have heard better, people really was trying to start a problem where should not have been one. Don’t get me wrong I like Kendrick Lamar but when people where going wild about his verse in control and he was milking it for what it was worth, I was looking at the hold verse as being ok nothing I would respond or worry about for the people he named and out of all of the people everyone is mad because Drake will no respond! If I was on Drake status I would not respond either its not worth it Kendrick and Drake are on two different pages and money brackets Im just saying.
Terry Richardson is a disgusting pervert who rapes models
