R&B singer Sevyn Streeter has found a lot of success with her hit single “It Won’t Stop” featuring close friend Chris Brown, and now the singer is all set to drop her debut EP on December 3. Sevyn has decided to drop mini music videos for all seven of her tracks, and now she’s released a new video for “nEXt.” In the song, Sevyn sings about the frustrations she has with an ex-boyfriend she can’t seem to move on from. She also ponders how an ex-boyfriend can still manage to become her next boyfriend. She says in the beginning of the track:
“Call me crazy but I know we’re miserable apart. But together it’s so hard. All I need to know is, how can my ex-boyfriend be my next boyfriend?”
In the video Sevyn can be seen getting cozy with her costar and onscreen love, actor/recording artist Mack Wilds (The Wire, The Secret Life of Bees). While they were initially happy at the beginning of the video and taking pictures, Sevyn is later seen tearing up the photos in anger later. Check out the video below:
In more music video news, Mary J. Blige just dropped a video for her Christmas album, “A Mary Christmas.” The video is for the Holiday anthem, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” Check out the video below:
I like Sevyn’s song. She has some dope a-s music. I’m glad she’s getting attention from the blogs now. I didn’t even bother to watch Mary’s video. I’m sorry. Still love her though. LOL.
I can really relate to Sevyn’s song. I’m so glad I eventually got past that part of my life.
I think we all have.
Now Mary knows she doesn’t have the voice to record no damn Christmas album!
