Lil Kim announced several months that she has a new album coming out soon and she’s decided to remake her classic “Hardcore” album by pushing out a new mixtape. She’s still not on good terms with leading female rapper Nicki Minaj because she feels Nicki stole her image to get ahead of the music game and go commercial, but now a makeup artist is calling the Queen Bee out for allegedly stealing herself.

A Reddit user who goes by the screen name Sssamanthaa also happens to be a pretty talented makeup artist took to the social platform to call out Lil Kim because she claims Lil Kim stole one of her photos to use it for a single cover, without permission. She’s also furious that the rapper reportedly took the photo and slapped her own watermark on it.

She uploaded a photo of herself in some Halloween makeup to Instagram, and it’s being said that Lil Kim decided to use her photo for her “Dead Gal Walking” track. Here’s the photo she claims Kim hijacked:

And here’s a screenshot she took of Kim using the photo for the cover on her official Twitter (Twit Music) page:

Sssamanthaa writes on Reddit:

So, this is a thing that’s been happening. Lil Kim took my photo and is using it as album art (might I add she took the liberty of adding her watermark over it on instagram). I have spoken with a lady on her team as well as her manager, which has done a whole lot of nothing. I’ve reported the photos on Facebook and Instagram multiple times, but they are continually posted. Anyone have any thoughts on what to do here? I live in BC, Canada.

When asked if she plans to sue, she writes:

I’m going to have a consultation with a lawyer tomorrow, so hopefully that is the outcome!

Lil Kim is usually very vocal on her Twitter account, but she’s been silent about the accusations for the last 24 hours. However, we did notice that she has removed the image from her Who Say account and Twitter page.

  1. This should be a sign to Kim that she needs to hang it up and move on with her life. How do you claim to be a legend and you’re pulling amateur moves like this? Say what you want about Nicki but she handles her business. Kim does not.

  2. Lmbo. Well at least she took the picture down. She doesn’t need any more lawsuits anyway. She needs to really sit down somewhere and figure this all out. How did you go from being one of the greatest to this? She’s ruined her face and now she’s dong some very clown ish in her career. Terrible.

  3. It’s so sad to see what Lil Kim has become. When I was growing up she was gorgeous, a great rapper and one of the women in Hip Hop everyone respected. She had stage presence and she could out rap the men. Now she’s become a caricature of herself and a joke in the business. She went so hard at Nicki for stealing, but look at what she did to this makeup artist. Very hypocritical of her.

  4. Kim lost my respect when she started messing up her face. She looks like a little Asian woman now. I can’t even rock with her anymore for that reason alone.

  5. This is the same person who still won’t admit that she’s had a lot of work done to her face. And she thinks she looks good too. Of course she would steal a photo and actually pretend it is hers. She thinks that face she has now is hers too. Smh.

  6. I always thought Kim was kind of overhyped. We all know she didn’t write her lyrics and she only rapped about sex. How is that talent? Lauryn Hill was way more talented, and actually talked about something in her music. Eve too. Latifah, MC Lyte. These women were always better to me.

      1. Dismissed? Cute screen name. I have. And my opinion (which I’m entitled to) still is that she mainly raps about sex. I could never relate to her, or did I like most of her music. No substance. I mean I can’t really call a woman who brags about swallowing sperm (I’m drinking babies) one of the greatest female rappers of all time when Lauryn Hill, Latifah, Eve, and MC Lyte exist. And even Nicki writes her own lyrics, something Kim doesn’t. But again, that’s my opinion. You can have a different one. It’s not the end of the world and it won’t change mine. #shrugs
