Steve Harvey ex wife Mary speaks out? Steve Harvey’s drama with his ex-wife Mary Harvey has been going on for years, but she was thrown in jail yet again the other day after she went public with child abuse accusations involving the talk show host and radio personality.
Apparently Steve has been accused of beating their 11-year-old son with a fraternity paddle and a belt after it was discovered that he lied about turning in homework. Steve was eventually cleared of the accusations and he also pushed to have a protective order put in place to keep Mary from taking the accusations to the media, something she’s never been afraid to do in the past.
Since the information was sealed and a protective order was put in place, Mary was sent to jail for talking about the accusations. She says she was also forced to release a statement penned by Steve’s attorney in which she claims her accusations were false. But now she’s speaking out and she’s putting her ex-husband on blast behind bars.
She tells KDFW FOX 4:
“I didn’t violate any court orders. This is about ‘You’re not supposed to be talking to anybody about your divorce.’ That’s what they’re saying. I’m like, this is America.”
She then goes on to say she’s angry because the legal drama she’s been having with Steve has caused her to miss out on seeing her son consistently:
“Am I angry? Yes. I missed six years of my son’s life and I can’t get those years back.”
Mary plans to keep fighting her ex-husband in the media for her right to free speech despite being sent to jail for 30 days:
“I’m just a mother who wants to have access to my son without interference. “I’m tired of getting pulled down to McKinney courthouse every time I say ‘Boo.’ I’m not going to be silenced.”
Steve has the money to pay off the judge and get his way. Sorry Mary, this is a fight you can’t win. You don’t have the money to.
These two right here…I wish they could manage to stop this war they have going and just do what’s right for the kids.
Agreed this is sad because their children will be the most affected by this.
Girl I am so with you. I am sick and tired of parents fighting like this like it doesn’t affect the kids. People need to get over themselves. Smh.
Steve has an image to protect. He will do whatever it takes to shut down his ex wife and he has the money to do so.

Freedom of speech can be taken away if someone has the money.
I’m sorry, I think this woman is crazy. I know Steve is an a-s but I don’t think Mary is the victim she claims to be either. She has been out to get him ever since he left her for his current wife. I think she’s out for revenge and using the kids to make Steve look bad. She’s the only one of his exes out here acting up like this.
Smh. Steve clearly paid to get his way and have her tossed in jail. I don’t know how a man can be ok with the mother of his kids being thrown in jail just for talking to the media.
Mary was with Steve when he was homeless and had nothing. Then after cheating on her and leaving her for his current wife, he made sure to make sure she was broke once the marriage was over. And he uses the kids to torture her by making it hard for her to see them. Karma is faithful Steve. You will see that soon.
Honestly when it comes to this situation, I don’t know who to believe. So I will just say I hope Mary and Steve can eventually leave the past where it is and eventually learn how to be mature and peaceful parents to their kids.
This is really sad. I’m with CiCi, I don’t know who or what to believe in this situation, but it’s obvious Steve has moved on and if Mary hasn’t, she really should. However, it’s no reason to prevent this woman from seeing their son if he’s doing that, but unfortunately when someone has money to pay off lawyers and judges, things can get really ugly when you don’t get the justice you deserve especially when it’s YOUR kids that are involved. If Steve is doing evil things with their son to taunt and eliminate her, it will eventually come out because God sees everything and will avenge in His time.
THE PROBLEM HERE IS THAT WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO RAISE OUR KIDS WITH DISCIPLINE ANYMORE, MANY BLACK, WHITE AND OTHERS WERE RAISED BY THE PADDLE AND ARE GRATEFUL TO OUR PARENTS NOW FOR DISCIPLINING US AND KEEPING US IN LINE TO BE SUCCESSFUL HUMANS.
AS FOR BEING THROWN IN JAIL USING THE MEDIA TO DEFAME SOMEONE IS WRONG SHE SHOULD JUST FOLLOW THE LAW AND KEEP THERE PERSONAL BUSINESS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS WHERE IT HAPPENS, WHY SHOULD THIS CHILD BATTLE MAKE THE NEWS WHEN STUFF LIKE THIS HAPPENS ON THE DAILY TO MANY MEN IN THE US AND NO ONE SAYS A WOED
