Jay Z made one of his fans feel extra special when he granted the 12-year-old his wish to join him on stage and kick some rap verses during his concert in Greensboro, NC Sunday night.
12-year-old Justin caught the rapper’s attention by holding up a sign that read, “Can I Rap For You?” Jay invited the young boy up on the stage and after he eventually got over being nervous from the crowd’s loud cheers and encouragement, he then rapped Jay’s verse to “Clique” a capella.
Interestingly enough, Jay playfully took the mic away when he got to the lyrics that were focused on drug dealing and the rapper requested that the young fan rapped the part about “the numbers.”
Jay Z was so impressed with the young fan’s courage, so he happily agreed when Justin asked him if he could meet his backstage after the concert.
Check out the cute clip below:
Aww that was so cute. I’m sure he made that little boy’s whole night.
Adorbs!
That was nice of Jay Z.
Gotta love Hov…
He did a good job. Jay Z loves the kids. lol
Aww so cute!!!!
Dope.
While this was really nice of Jay Z, I really do wish he would have taken the opportunity to tell this young man to aspire to be someone other than just another rapper. I feel like we have way too many young black boys dreaming of being rappers and professional athletes. But that’s just my two cents.
Cosign.
I was there for this concert…there was a collective Awwwwwww in the crowd. It was really sweet!
