Ciara may be pregnant with her first child and planning her wedding with her fiancé Future, but that didn’t keep her from becoming a target of the BeyHive the other day.
The R&B singer posted a snap from her song with Justin Timberlake “Love Sex Magic” for #TBT and to many it seemed like it was shade for Beyonce.
In the snap, Ciara can be seen working multiple poles similar to Beyonce’s music video for “Partition.” The video was just released officially a couple of days ago, so it’s pretty understandable why Beyonce’s fans are calling foul. Nonetheless, Ciara’s fans instantly took to the photo’s comment section to call Beyonce a copycat.
It didn’t take long for the BeyHive to come out in full force. Some of the angry reactions read:

Too bad the photo led to a full-fledged stan war between the BeyHive and the C Squad. We hope this wasn’t shade considering Beyonce’s whole routine in “Partition” was actually just a reenactment of the dancers at Crazy Horse. In the following video which is over a month old, Beyonce even explains that she took Jay Z to the club after they got engaged and she called up the dancers to teach her their entire routine for the video for “Partition.”
So if this is shade, maybe Ciara’s team forgot to tell her where she got her own “Love Sex Magic” video inspiration from because hers is merely just a copy of Crazy Horse as well.
In the meantime, we do wish both artists and fan bases would understand that there’s surely room for both to be successful.
Thank you UB for doing research! Beyonce did not copy Ciara, but what Ciara needs to do is stop trying to come for Bey. If she was smart she would be trying to get Bey fans because unlike her own stans, we actually buy albums! Smarten up Ciara!

And that is why her career is where it’s at now and she’s about to be baby mama number three or four to Future. Her attitude sucks!
Ciara lost cool points with me when I saw pictures of her filming for Kim K’s reality show last week. Kim uses her and Ciara drops everything to run behind her like a puppy dog. It’s just embarrassing to see.
Oh please. All artists copy and get “inspiration” from someone else. And Ciara herself has copied Beyonce numerous times. She needs to humble herself and focus on her next album not flopping. I’m very disappointed in Ciara for this.

I really hate how catty women can be. Ciara knew what she was doing, but why did she do this? Why won’t she try to show her fans that multiple black women can win at the same time and be nice towards each other? This was petty and beneath her.
Ciara showed her true colors when she went after Rihanna. She’s very passive aggressive but she is messy nonetheless. I still like her, I’m just not surprised that she did this. And if you look at her IG account, it’s obvious she got in her feelings after the Hive dragged her because she’s been posting nothing but photos from old videos ever since. She needs to grow up.

No matter her reason for it (engagement, etc.) she redid Ciara and her team’s concept and treatment for a music video that was done years ago.
C can’t ever claim her past work (IN RESPONSE TO WHAT HER FANS ARE BRINGING UP TO HER) because the next chick dropped hers. Nah. If Beyonce (or her fans) posted an old pic of work done that someone just redid, ppl would call it a read. Like “Bloop, already done. And done well. Try again.” But its diff cuz C did it first. Are you slow? Beyonce did not copy Ciara. Bey’s whole video was taken from Crazy Horse! The dancers worked with Bey and taught her their routine! If you watch the videos you will see Bey’s video is exactly the Crazy Horse strip routine! So Ciara is the one who copied Crazy Horse and didn’t even have the decency to say where she got it from but has the nerve to throw shade like the ignorant flop she is! But guess what, none of this even matters because Ciara’s career has been over for years! And that’s why she is really mad. Pigs will fly and hell will freeze over before Ciara ever has a platinum album again or has a tour that makes over $220 million. Now this is the second person she has tried it with who has a bigger career than hers. She is the ultimate hater!
And FYI we don’t have to talk about what Beyonce’s done first because Bey has real accomplishments that speak for themselves! Like dropping an album with no promotion and selling over 300k copies in three days! Like going platinum in one week! Like having the largest grossing tour of 2013! Becoming the highest paid black entertainer of all time! I can go on…but this is Ciara’s accomplishment? Copying Crazy Horse before Beyonce did? That is sad!

LOL letting the Hive handle it. Rihanna is being validated with all of this because as you might remember, Ciara tried to act all innocent when she started that beef with Rihanna. Now everyone sees she’s messy!
It was shade. It’s good shade because it’s not obvious, but considering that Ci’s fans have been tweeting her that picture and talking about this AND she only posted it days AFTER Bey dropped the Partition, it’s not hard to catch on. I saw her fans talking about Bey copying her days ago. Ciara shouldn’t have posted this…sometimes you have to be classier than your own fan base.
I like both artists, but yeah this was shade. It’s been a hot topic all week before Ciara even posted the picture. Now she’s burned bridges with two big fan bases, Navy and BeyHive. Not smart!

So yes, this was shade and Ciara has just as nasty of an attitude as Keri Hilson behind the scenes. But I’m still here for her music. lol

And this is why she gets called C-error. Just truly needless drama that just paints her in a bad light and practically invites people to criticize her. When you have spent your entire career being called everything from “the bootleg Aaliyah” to “A poor man’s Janet” you don’t have room to call out anyone as “copying”. Her Casper fan base (they get ghost when it’s time to actually support her by purchasing her music or paying for concert tickets hence all the flop action she’s had) spends more time worrying about Beyonce and Rihanna and whoever else and stirring the pot than they do being constructive and trying to get her name out there w/POSITIVE associations. Coming for Beyonce, even the perception that she’s coming for Beyonce is only going to make her look bad. Did we learn nothing from Keyshia Cole and Keri Hilson? Beyonce won’t even acknowledge any shots were fired. She’ll keep on being about her music, her money and her brand and CiCi will still be on struggle status. Ciara needs to worry less about what Beyonce, Rihanna, Gaga or whoever is doing and focus on herself and her music. All this shade throwing won’t fill stadium seats or boost album sales.

Also there’s a big difference between getting inspired by something and completely coping something and there are about 4 songs I know of where Beyonce completely copied the act and tried to take the credit as her own until she was called out on it, I’ve never heard of Ciara being called out for being a copy cat. And let’s face it the real reason why Beyonce is more popular then Ciara is the same reason why Rihanna is more popular then her, and lame performers like Miley is more popular then her and that’s because they are more revealing these females can’t touch Ciara when it comes to dancing of any kind and Beyonce is the only one that can, but if Ciara dressed in practically nothing and danced I have no doubt that Ciara would be more popular then Beyonce and the other females because no matter how much people(especially females) wanna preach about having respect and being sexy while remaining tasteful a female that does that doesn’t get the same results from male or female then the females that wears revealing clothing because it’s all about sex. Againain Beyonce isn’t doing anything that Ciara can’t do or hasn’t done, the only difference is Ciara is dressed barely showing her skin while she’s dancing provocative and sexy whereas Beyonce is showing most of her skin while doing the same thing.

Ciara even had the audacity to copy one of Janet’s legendary album covers for her Body Party cover. But did Janet get on social media and try to throw shade? Absolutely not because when you’re a queen you don’t have to address lessors. And lastly, everyone copies. Everyone. But Ciara can not throw shade when she copied Crazy Horse from top to bottom (at least Beyonce had the class to mention where she got the idea and even called them to come join her). Ciara is ridiculous and she lacks professionalism as always. And to tell you the truth, that’s why she isn’t on top. Her attitude is too stank and being self entitled won’t make you a star. She does not own the rights to their dance moves but at least Beyonce had the class (and money) to actually call up the Crazy Horse girls and pay them to teach her their routine. And Bey pulled it off beautifully and it completely makes Ciara’s video look cheap. So if you want to go there, technically Ciara looks worse in this situation because she copied and she’s acing as if she is the creative genius behind her video and she still lost. Hilarious.
Secondly, let’s not act like Ciara is some saint who loves to keep it clean. She was practically naked in her Ride video, and it was so sexual it got banned from BET. And the song was still a flop. And she gets naked a lot and her dances are explicit, but no one buys her “sexy” image at all.
Think about it…she has done the whole sexy thing before and her albums still flopped. And Miley Cyrus is raunchy but her last album still didn’t sell a million copies. In fact Miley’s tour is flopping horribly so there goes THAT theory! It’s not that Bey is more successful because she wears less clothes and she’s sexier, it’s that Ciara doesn’t have “IT.”
And no she cannot do everything Beyonce does (she can’t even sing)! If Ciara had what it took to beat Bey, she would be much bigger than she is right now. Face it, her career has peaked and it’s over. Hell Rihanna opened for her tour years ago and now Rihanna has surpassed her too. Y’all can make excuses for Ciara all day, but she will probably never have a tour to gross over $220 million or an album that goes platinum in a week without promotion. She is not a real star and never really was.
Ciara will never sell out MAC lipstick in ten minutes like Rihanna or break Vevo records. You have to have the “It” factor. She doesn’t! Stop hating on the people who do and are more successful. Making it in the music industry is not easy to do! If it was, Ciara would not be struggling now.
