Details Leak on Paula Patton & Robin Thicke’s Separation

Yesterday it was confirmed that R&B singer Robin Thicke and actress Paula Patton are ending their marriage, and even though the celebs have been tougher since they were just 14 years old, apparently their marriage took a turn for the worst in the public eye after Robin’s career began to surge thanks to the massive success of “Blurred Lines.”

Not only have women been accusing Robin of being unfaithful, but Robin was also spotted last month kissing on some mystery woman in a nightclub.

Then of course some even realized the marriage was in trouble when their red carpet appearance began looking forced.

However, both Paula and Robin insisted their marriage was stronger than ever.

Turns out it wasn’t and now more details are leaking out about their separation.

According to TMZ, it was actually Paula who wanted to end the marriage and Robin desperately tried to talk her out of it to no avail. He even cancelled his recent show in Atlanta to fly to Canada to change Paula’s mind:

Sources connected with the couple tell us … Paula Patton told Robin Friday she wanted to end the marriage. Robin then abruptly cancelled his show, saying he had throat problems. But the cancellation was solely so he could sit with his wife and try to change her mind.

We’re told Paula — who is shooting a movie in Vancouver — and Robin had a long, face-to-face talk … both acknowledging they had not been getting along and frequently arguing.

Our sources say in the end Robin realized Paula was determined to end the marriage and reluctantly agreed, but was very upset. We’re told she was also upset.
