Last night’s season six finale of RHOA was a bit on the dry side, but the previews for the upcoming reunion and NeNe Leakes’ recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” made up for it.
NeNe did not hold back her feelings last night when she discussed her now over friendship with Cynthia Bailey, how she feels about Kenya being on the show, and the brawl that took place between Porsha and Kenya.
Here are the highlights.
When Andy Cohen asked NeNe who she wanted fired, NeNe refused to give a name. But she did say the following about Cynthia:
“I would have to say…Cynthia is, I think everybody knows this. I think Cynthia is okay. It’s not like she’s really bringing anything to the show, I mean to be honest I mean she talk about what the Bailey agency and Bar One, it’s not like they’re really talking about anything…So…and then if you have somebody that can’t stick, you know? You need somebody like that can stick to something…When the wind blow, you blow this way, then you blow that way. Good Bye…I think Cynthia is a good friend. And uh, I think she just blows where ever the wind blows.”
So what caused NeNe’s harsh words? Apparently NeNe thinks it was trifling for Cynthia to befriend Kenya after Kenya stirred the NeNe’s pot all season. Even though producer Andy Cohen disagreed and said he felt Cynthia has always been loyal to NeNe. she wouldn’t back down from her views. She says:
“Not really. She’s always been cool with me. But I never felt like Cynthia put a stamp of approval on it. I feel like, no, honestly. I feel like if she was over there with Kandi, she was over there with Kandi. If she was over there with Phaedra, she was over there with Phaedra.
“I think that Cythia was my friend. That’s what I thought…When you have a friend, and they do something wrong, that you don’t like. I don’t think you align yourself with the enemy. I think you stick with your friend and you stick with your friend and say, ‘Look, we were friends. I liked you. You did this and I did not like that.’ At the end of the day, you’re not gonna align yourself with the enemy.”
NeNe then goes on to say that getting cool with Kenya was a weak move on Cynthia’s part:
“She ain’t got my back like that. No, she does not. Marlo could do anything and talk about me to everybody she wanna talk about me to. She can talk about me like a dirty dog. I am never going to sit here with you. With Kenya, with none of them. Because I was not a friend to her….I don’t know if she’s spoken about me like a dirty dog, I can not say that. What I do know is that you don’t align yourself with the enemy. To me, it just says, you’re weak. That’s how it comes off to me…We’re just not cool anymore. That’s just what it is. That’s just how I roll.”
We’re starting to wonder if there’s more to the story that the cameras didn’t catch. NeNe seems really angry with Cynthia and it’s hard to believe that Cynthia forming a friendship with Kenya is all it took. We wouldn’t be surprised if some gossip comes out soon to confirm our suspicions.
But did any of you catch how irritated and disappointed Andy looked during the majority of NeNe’s responses? NeNe may have been the queen bee of RHOA since season one, but we’re starting to feel like Andy and the rest of the head honchos are starting to get tired of her antics. Not only has the rumor mill been whispering that the production heads are so over NeNe, but Andy seemed very annoyed the majority of her interview. While many of us suspect Porsha Williams may be gone, maybe it’s not far-fetched to believe that just maybe NeNe’s days are numbered too. This was her worst season to date.
Andy even asked NeNe how long she thinks she will stay on the show. NeNe said she didn’t know because the show has “changed” and Andy looked like he was being shady as he quickly reminded her that this season was the most watched yet.
So could NeNe be on her way out? We’re not sure and only time will tell. And just the thought of NeNe getting a pink slip from Bravo at the height of the show’s success just seems unlikely. But with reality television, anything can happen when it comes to cast decisions.

NeNe really made herself look foolish and petty last night. Yes, I do agree that Cynthia is an opportunist, especially her husband. But I don’t think she should have thrown Cynthia under the bus the way she did. It just makes NeNe look like a terrible person. I think she said a lot of this out of hurt, but she’s bringing bridges now and that will not end well for her.
NeNe doesn’t know how to play the game. That is why Kenya is the new star. NeNe doesn’t know how to play her cards right. She should have came on Andy’s show and used it to boost her popularity since it’s been tanking. But now she’s managed to turn off the few fans she had left. She really makes it so easy for Kenya. LOL.
We’ll see what you have to say when they turn the tables on Kenya. Oh it’s coming. Nothing lasts with reality television.
NeNe has an over inflated opinion of herself. She is not the big huge star that she envisions herself as and the calls will soon stop because she sees herself as something she isn’t: someone with real talent.
You know the old saying: “Be careful whose toes you step on climbing up the ladder because you never know whose a-s you’ll have to kiss coming back down.”
I thought I was the only one who got a shady vibe from Andy last night. Frankly I think he’s thinking about getting rid of NeNe and asked her on the show to make a decision. It’s the same thing they did to Sheree. And NeNe fell right into the trap. I won’t be surprised if they keep Porsha and fire NeNe. I can see it happening. A lot of folks will be shocked.
Nene needs to go. She is no longer interesting and now she has no friends left to film with.
Damn NeNe. You’re really hanging yourself. By saying she wants Cynthia fired, she really looks shady as hell. Why is she sabotaging herself?
NeNe was really doing the most when she talked with Andy last night. No matter what I think of Cynthia I can admit that she was always there for NeNe. NeNe was just being petty. I will say that those RHOA head people can get rid of NeNe if they want to but RHOA will not last. Say what you want about NeNe but she is RHOA and the day she leaves RHOA is dead.
But NeNe told no lies though. Cynthia only got cool with NeNe in the beginning because she was the star. By befriending NeNe, Cynthia was able to secure her spot on the show even though she brings nothing to the table. But she started to see NeNe losing favor with the producers, and she switched teams appropriately and also got Peter to be messy so they will have no choice but to bring her back next season.
People keep sleeping on Cynthia but she’s one of the most manipulative and calculating people on the show right after Kenya. I saw this coming early in the season. NeNe has to smarten up. They are taking her down and she’s making it real easy for them.
The producers want NeNe gone. That is why they called up Kenya before season six filming and told her to be the wild card. They see Kenya as the future of the show in a Love and Hip Hop world, and they want NeNe to exit now. But NeNe will not go without a fight. So they are trying to make her hang herself. She’s doing a good job at that so far too. I still like her over Kenya though.
It’s crazy UB because I got the same feelings last night too. Andy is usually more playful and happy to see Nene but last night he was not for it. I think NeNe can sense it too.
Cynthia really has held NeNe down though. I mean even when she shouldn’t have. I think Nene is wrong in this one.
If they fire NeNe, I’m not watching anymore. Sorry.
Nene keeps it REAL & MOVIN…U might not agreed or liked her comments about her cast mates….TO ME IT WAS REAL…SHE’S ENTITLE TO HER OPINION… AS WE ALL R…KENYA HAS TAKEN THE LEAD THIS SEASON & CONTINUES TO BELITTLE HERSELF…REALLY SICK OF HER B/S…WHY IS THIS MANLESS TRICK EVEN ON THE SHOW?????
Andy looked like he was shocked. NeNe is losing it. Is she on drugs or something?
Dammit NeNe you’re losing right now! I can’t even stomach watching your downfall!
Well when you think about it, maybe NeNe is about to get fired. Who is she going to film with? She pissed off Kandi, she’s not cool with Cynthia or Peter anymore. Her and Kenya hate each other. Phaedra is neutral. And Porsha is gone. And Marlo is Team Twirl now. It may be time for her to go. And that makes me sad.
All of this is petty to me. Why get mad at Cynthia for being cordial with Kenya? She’s not telling Kenya your secrets or talking bad about you, so why are you so mad? NeNe keeps letting Kenya get under her skin and she should know better.
I bet Kenya watched this last night and had a good laugh. NeNe is so ignorant. She can’t even see that she’s hurting herself.
Kenya is the new NeNe. She’s cheaper, more interesting and knows how to stir the pot better than NeNe ever could. And she does it all while still being respectful to the producers. Expect NeNe to get a pink slip soon. 🙂
NeNe disappointed me last night. And I’ll leave it at that.
It’s NeNe’s time to bring brought down a few pegs. That is the goal here. It’s show business after all. I just hope she realizes what is going on.
Nene didn’t even have a storyline this season. She can go. I won’t miss her.
It’s not like NeNe didn’t say the truth. Cynthia is boring. That scene last night when she was trying to smoke a black and get sexy for Peter was boring and forced. Cynthia can go and I think they should keep Porsha.
Bravo ain’t stupid. NeNe will be back. Trust. She is still the face of the show.
NeNe needs to humble herself. If she doesn’t, she will be humbled by Bravo.

Please! Andy asked for her opinion, and got irritated when she gave it. Better her be truthful than try to front, cause we all can tell the difference when she does. Nene ain’t going nowhere. If fradulent Teresa Giudice didnt get fired and she did everything but steal Andy’s dog, I dont see when Nene would be let go over something this stupid.
Nene is a hot mess.
I THINK NENE AND KENYA BOTH NEED TO GO. KENYA IS NOT MARRIED SO WHY IS SHE ON THE SHOW. ANDY NEEDS TO FIND TWO OTHER COUPLES FROM THE A THAT HAVE SOMETHING GOING ON IN THEIR LIVES THAT PEOPLE WANT TO SEE,LIKE MAYBE LUDER OR A DOCTOR OR LAWYER TO ALIST STARS.
It saddened me to see NeNe throw Cynthia under a bus like that. Cynthia has always had her back. Just because she doesn’t hate Kenya doesn’t mean NeNe has a pass to push for her to be fired. I hate that they aren’t friends anymore. But NeNe is too stubborn to see she’s wrong in this situation.
On another note, Bravo would be foolish to fire anyone right now. The show is a success because of everyone. Not just Kenya, not just NeNe. Strong personalities and villains are good for the show. They should keep NeNe around and Porsha and Kenya too. I like this cast together.
I don’t think NeNe is going anywhere. They are just ruffling her feathers because she’s been the head bish since the first season and by ruffling her feathers six seasons in, it makes for good TV. But she wasn’t lying when she said that Cynthia goes whichever way the wind blows…she does! She instigates all the time and when it pops off, Cynthia is nowhere to be found. It’s about time someone called her out for what she does. Cynthia is not innocent.
I really can’t stand NeNe (although she is hilarious at times) However, I highly doubt NeNe would be fired and I also highly doubt that she would quit no matter how much the show has “changed.” She ain’t tryna lose out on that $. And I too noticed that Andy seemed quite irritated by some of her responses. Keep NeNe and bring back Sheree.

NeNe really went in on that WWHL special and I can’t say I’m surprised by her responses. I was taken aback (and saddened) by her comments on Cynthia but there was a lot of truth there. Needless to say, Cynthia was a good friend. NeNe has a huge problem with accountability and I’m bored with it. That special really left me wondering if NeNe even has the desire to return for next season. I suspect she will—a paycheck is a paycheck.
As for Sheree making her return, I’m not here for it. She made a fool out of herself several seasons ago and she really can’t come for anyone among the current cast. People only want to see her go toe-to-toe with NeNe and their beef has grown stale. If that’s all she can bring to the table I’ll pass.
I say bring in some new and true “movers and shakers” of Atlanta and go from there. Bravo should really consider revamping the entire cast.

Bravo, if your true intentions was to show ( Nene Leaks) a washed up pole dancer attempting to make a name for herself by openly bullying other grown women. You have succeeded with great disgust from other woman. I would much rather see woman of class and elegance getting to the top off of their own merit and with kindness! I will not waste my time on low morale women who is a bully and a low budget show that will allow such behaviors.
SO I GUESS AS FAR AS KENYA IS CONCERN THEY WANTED TO SHE KENYA AS A WASHED UP MISS USA WHO SLEEPS AROUND WITH MARRIED MEN AND PAY OTHER MEN TO BE WITH HER. NOT TO MENTION ALL THE OTHER RATCHET THINGS KENYA DID ON THE SHOW.
