Yes. We know you all are sick of hearing about Solange’s elevator attack of her brother-in-law Jay Z, but there’s a new report circulating around that sounds more plausible regarding just why it happened than the majority of the reports we’ve been seeing.
As we already reported, sources at the Met Gala told US Weekly that fashion designer Rachel Roy was screamed at by Solange before the elevator incident, but that’s now being confirmed by the New York Post as well.
Interestingly enough, now it’s being reported that even Beyonce had some words for Rachel Roy’s friends as well after Solange popped off on the designer.
Page Six writes:
Another source said the “Losing You” singer argued with Roy shortly after arriving at the Standard and Beyoncé, 32, came to her defense when another guest attempted to intervene.
When the female guest asked Solange, “‘What is your problem?’ Beyoncé defended her sister and told the guest, ‘You don’t get to speak to my sister that way.’”
Interestingly enough, some of you may remember that Rachel Roy is Jay Z’s former friend Damon Dash’s ex-wife. Hollywood Life reports that Solange was screaming at Roy because she felt her friendship with Jay Z was inappropriate:
“Rachel Roy came up to [Solange] in a confrontational way earlier in the night,” a source close to Solange tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “But they’ve had a long-standing feud. It turns out this ruined the whole night.”
Rachel and Solange’s heated exchange also led to the “Losing You” singer’s elevator smackdown against brother-in-law Jay Z, according to our insider.
“Solange was defending Beyoncé in the elevator because Solange finds Jay’s friendship with Rachel to be WAY too close for comfort and it makes Solange very uncomfortable,” the source reveals. “Beyoncé also confronted Rachel and said, ‘Don’t talk to my sister like that,’ after [Rachel] confronted Solange.”
Now we’ve heard the NY Daily News is trying to tie Rihanna into all of this, but honestly the Rachel Roy situation is being reported by multiple sources so we find it the most plausible (Beyonce just posted a photo of her and Rihanna at the Met Gala as well to Instagram).
We do feel like something happened at the event that led to Solange getting upset and later attacking Jay Z in the elevator.
Either way, we won’t ever get the real answer from Beyonce, Jay Z or Solange and Beyonce has already taken to her Instagram account to make it clear she is standing behind her sister 100%. She’s been posting photos of her and Solange all morning.
Hmmm…this does make the most sense. It makes more sense than the whole Jay beats Beyonce crap. Something had to happen there that really rubbed her the wrong way. Either way, all we can all do is speculate. But it’s time to let them move on.
Well it does look like something happened there to set her off. And I can see Rachel Roy being a little too close to comfort with Jay offending Solo and Bey. The difference is Solo is the one who will confront someone while Bey is more reserved. People missed the part of the video when Bey was telling Jay about himself too. That made me think he really did do something she didn’t like.
I’ll also add that Rachel Roy is in Kim K’s circle. Solange can’t stand Kim because she knows what Kim is about. She knows Kim’s friends are just as slutty and trifling as she is. I don’t blame her for not trusting Rachel’s intentions, but she should have kept her hands and her feet to herself.

I heard that too. I did find it very odd that she went from being BFFs with La La to barley speaking to her when they see each other now. Now her and Kim are BFFs. LOL.
Wow! I didn’t know she was a friend of Kim’s. In that case, I get why Solo was so mad. But she should have kept her hands to herself and checked him when they got somewhere private.

This is what I tried to tell y’all on the other post. Solange is bipolar. That is true. But that ain’t why she went all Mortal Kombat on Jay Z. Rachel can’t be trusted and Solange knows that.

What I don’t understand is what exactly Jay-Z did wrong. He wasn’t inappropriate in any way by all accounts. His ex-business partner’s ex-wife may or may not have been doing something untoward and Jay is the one who is getting hit behind it all by his wife’s sister? Nope… Sorry… That is a No-Go.

I knew it was something like that when I saw Bey say something in Jay face before leaving the elevator && they said Bey got in the car with Solange and Jay got in another..I new she couldn’t have been going off about nothing. But I’m pretty sure it will all be worked out.
Maybe Solange knows Rachel is trying to disrespect his marriage and he tried to downplay her warnings. So she went off. I still think she should not have done what she did because now that’s what everyone is going to talk about.
The a-swhooping Solange gave Jay definitely made me think it had to do with him trying to be a player and being busted at the event. Hopefully now Solange’s feet will be in the back of his mind when he even thinks about trying to smash some other chick on the side.
Wow! So essentially, violence against men is acceptable. Mind you this man hasn’t been proven to have been in the wrong about anything at all, yet it’s OK for him to be fearful of a physical attack by a woman.

I’ve always felt like Jay and Dame were more so frienimies than anything else. They were always trying to compete with each other.
I agree that this is the most plausible and Bey is kind of shutting down the rumors herself on IG. She posted Rih and Solo photos because she wants the Hive to know she isn’t upset with either.

I think this is the most believable explanation out there too. Regardless, I’m sure all three of them will be fine. Things happen and people get over it eventually.

This makes sense. I’m not buying the whole Beyonce doesn’t like confrontation BS. I remember Solange and Kelly saying Beyonce used to drive up to Solo’s school and curse kids out for her. She is not some angel who hates to get ratchet. She didn’t jump in and protect Jay because she believed he deserved what he got. But she knows there is a time and place for everything. Umm Solange’s mental illness has been confirmed by her own PR rep. It’s the very reason she cancelled her European tour last August. She is bipolar and it’s not the end of the world. Google is your friend.

I hope Jay Z isn’t this stupid. When you get someone of Beyonce’s caliber, you should treat her right. If this is true, this means he has no respect for their marriage nor does he appreciate her. And that’s terrible.
