Tamar Braxton is joining her hubby Vince Herbert and stacking up legal problems of her own. According to TMZ, the singer was just slapped with a lawsuit and it’s because a songwriter is claiming she stole vocals for her “Love and War” album:
According to a new lawsuit … Emmi Kozulin claims she co-wrote “One on One Fun” with Angela Hunte. Kozulin then recorded a version of the song on her own.
Kozulin claims Hunte gave the song to Braxton for her album “Love and War.” Kozulin admits Hunte had the right to license the lyrics … but Kozulin claims Braxton’s recorded version included vocals from Kozulin’s version … and that crosses the line.
Kozulin claims — as co-writer of the song — she’s entitled to 50% of the royalties … plus damages.
Tamar’s rep claims she should not even be targeted in the lawsuit because it’s 100% the fault of the producer of the track.
And she was just on Twitter talking about how she will never be cheap because she’s not thirsty. *giggles*
Welp. Lawsuits are just a part of the music business.
This is like the third time Tamar and Vince have been accused of shady practices in the studio. They have to tighten up.
She used someone else’s vocals though and didn’t make sure business was taken care of? Interesting.
Technically, she can be sued as well since it’s on her album so what the heck is her rep talking about?
Tamar didn’t know those weren’t her vocals?

SO did she get a nomination for this song? Well she can forget about anyone in the industry working with her. Wow and she was on IG talking about she is on BEY, NIKI, RIHANNA AND CHRIS BROWNS level. Well tamuppet you should have just kept singing back up for your sister if you knew you couldn’t do this solo. Now your name is crap in the industry and how did your husband let this happen. It makes sense now that those 5 other labels dropped you. Don’t go to the BET AWARDS cause they are going to BOO your a-s. How dare your camp say it’s the producers who should be sued and not you. I hope they get paid well this might teach you lesson.
By vocals do we literally mean vocals? Or do they mean the melody, phrasing, harmony, etc?
People, haters, liars, are whom ever. Tamar Braxton aint got no worries. This is when you know you have became a real superstar. People come at you from all over. Like her many talents are not. The proof is in the pudding. Tamar is winning!!!
vocals? what part of tamar song is supposed to be stolen? the song “one on on fun” i could not imagine anything from tamars song sounds like it would be on a song titled that…..or are the saying she took melodies or something? someone needs to get the alleged original song
