K Michelle surprised many when she took to Instagram months ago to shade her former friend Elle Varner, and it was suspected the fallout was over Meek Mill and a conflict over a song.
Although K Michelle said recently she believes it’s possible at some point she and Elle could squash the beef and be friends again, she’s singing a new tune now.
When asked about their fallout and if it was over Meek Mill, she tells Hot 97:
“That’s what they want to think. I have never slept with Meek in my life. We flirt and poke, but we don’t poke. So it wasn’t any of that. You guys be looking at people on TV and you guys get perspective of people because you see them or they don’t go off on Twitter but you don’t get to see the behind the scenes. You see me being loud all the time. But you don’t get in that situations. Even management was like, ‘she’s worse than you.’ But because I speak out on something, then I’m wrong. I had a record, it was my favorite record but I wasn’t allowed to put out that record because management said it was too big. I’m supposed to be the little black girl singing about heartbreak and I’m not supposed to grow and be me. They place you in a lane and make you stay in that lane.
“It would have to be worked in every format. It’s always not yet. With that situation for my friend at that time. I played the record, next thing I know she threw her shoe, jumped and said, ‘oh my god, this is a great record.’ When she went through that break up with Iman she was searching for a identity. She wanted to be more sexy and she was hanging around me and started to curse—But she played me a record and she said ‘you like my record,’ and I was like, ‘that’s my record.’ Then you went to the same producer, I came to you like a woman, I said, ‘this my record, you put that out, that sounds like me.'”
K Michelle explains why she feels Elle was trying to copy her style:
“Yeah but I said it to you as a friend in a proper manner. I said it to management in a proper manner. So after all of that, I go to my management and expressed my concern. And they promised me it would be handled, but she’s the princess at the management. I’m the bad guy but the only one making money over there…You tell me, ‘oh we don’t like that record, that record ain’t goin’ to come out.’ When I look up and you let her sing my record. When I’m the only one booking shows every week and paying 20% commission and you can say Elle Varner, the queen of MBK. So the Twitter post that caused so much of it. If you know I did have a crush on Meek and you know that as my friend that me and Meek do this. You get on Twitter and say, ‘Meek tried to talk to me and I swerved him.’ Okay, why would you do that to your friend? She wanted attention because no one gives a f*ck about that India Arie music. No offense to India Arie.
“I am hurt because that was my friend. I am very hurt that I tried to be there for you through your break up and you turned into a mini K. Michelle. That really hurt me and when I talked to you about it woman to woman, you continued to twerk on tables like me.”
I wish this Keyshia Cole ripoff would STFU. She has some nerve to call anyone a copy when she made an entire career out of being the bootleg version of Keyshia Cole. Girl goodbye and sit down.

I’m pretty sure K is only saying all of this because she’s salty Elle is paying her dust. I’ve noticed that about K. She will start a beef with someone and then she will say she didn’t mean it and it’s a misunderstanding. But when that person ignores her and pays her dust/doesn’t accept her apology, she goes in even harder. She needs to understand no grown woman wants to be cool with anyone who will start drama and curse them out on Twitter over petty issues. Nobody has time for that.
How is she going to try to throw shade at Elle’s music when she can’t sell albums either? That’s like Ciara shading Omarion for being a flop.

I caught that dig India Arie is a Grammy award winning artist and all around respected musician. India has more talent in her left thumb then K has in her entire body.

K Michelle’s five stans have blown her head up I see. She hasn’t even been in the game long enough for anyone to even copy. She’s not even original herself. What is unique about making miserable songs for unhappy women and cursing people out on Twitter? Keyshia Cole has been doing it forever. And she was inspired by Mary. Let’s not talk about copying K. I haven’t see originality in music for the last 2 decades.

This is exactly why K will only go so far. Now you publicly blasting MBK and Jeff Robinson the ONLY people who took a chance on her when no other label wanted her after the Memphitz situation. You don’t burn bridges in business and you don’t publicly say things like this is in house problems. On top of that if someone was your true friend you ain’t going to never blast them like she did Elle even if y’all beefing. I’m done with K and her lopsided booty she is proving what everybody said about her is true.

I liked the old K. Michelle. She was humble, hard working, and wasn’t so nasty and so rude. I hate what she’s turned into. But when you have people kissing your a-s on IG and telling you that you can do no wrong, a monster is born.

Stupidest sh-t I’ve read all day. She’s basically mad because Elle now wants to join the same ratchet club she’s in? How bird like. Also there’s nothing original about acting like a bird and being ratchet anyway. There’s plenty of chicks out here with no record deals getting their K Michelle on for free. It’s not hard to do. I used to (kinda) like K. Even downloaded her album (for the free thnkx to Cricket lol). She just seems like a bitter bird now. Her 1st season of LHHA I understood why she was angry. So what I’ve gathered from this is K got mad because she liked Meek and Meek liked Elle instead. So she started nitpicking Elle and created a feud because Meek put her in the friend zone. K has a lot of growing up to do. She really can’t get along with anyone and it’s sad.
