Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o found lots of success with her role in “12 Years a Slave,” but you’ve probably noticed the beauty has become somewhat of a target of gossip by mainstream media plenty in the last several months.

While we’re not so sure why she’s being targeted, the latest gossip is a dig at her acting abilities.

In several of the rumors put out about Lupita in recent months, the actress has been accused of acting like a snotty diva on Broadway, and now there’s new reports attacking her performance in the new “Star Wars” film.

One tabloid claimed Lupita struggled so much in the film that a lot of her parts had to be cut out.

Well the producer of the film, J.J. Abrams, is calling BS on the rumors.

  1. Isn’t this what the media typically does to black actresses? They put them on a pedestal only to try to tear them down later. They tried it with Taraji over the stuff with her son but she nipped it in the bud by apologizing and moving on. Lupita will nip this n the bud by staying silent and making power moves. She will be fine unless she breaks down on Twitter. I think that’s really what they want anyway.

  2. I’m starting to wonder who she pissed off because it is so obvious now someone is out to bring her down a few pegs. I love Lupita and will see Star Wars just for her!!

  3. Of course they are. Lupita won an Oscar for her first movie role. Mothaf-ckas is still seething about that sh-t.

  4. They always do this to black actresses especially ones who aren’t usually in the gossip blogs or who they don’t have dirt on they resort to lies.

  5. I’m waiting for them to come at Viola the same way cause she’s been really vocal and we know folks don’t like “mouthy” black actresses.

  6. I just read some nut/stalker on a forum I frequent and won’t name started this lie. This person is very obsessed with Kerry Washington and Lupita.
