When asked by someone in the audience to handle when step kids have been coached to attack their step parents, Majorie says:
“Steve and I have been there before. And I had to tell him stop allowing these children to make you feel guilty about what you did. Even with our adult children, I had to tell them I’m sorry if it didn’t work out, if Daddy wasn’t there if you were a little girl but guess what? He’s here now. Stop worrying about what you didn’t have because now you’re sabotaging what you have right now.
“I don’t believe in trying to throw stones and tear anybody else down. I’ve always been on the high road and I’m going to stay on it today. Having said that, I’ve dealt with all that. And it’s unfortunate that any woman would use her child in that way.
“I think that it is important more than anything that it is important to teach your children to do what is right. It’s hard to hate somebody when they keep loving you. eventually they will come around.”

Some things should be kept private.
Just to clarify , there’s a difference between those two getting together while he was seperated , than while he was still in a relationship with his wife . If they got together while it was over then it doesn’t matter if he was legally married , as divorces can take years..If his ex wife was under the impression that they were together still ,that’s when it becomes a sour situation .
