If you’ve been keeping up with the latest headlines over the last couple of days, then you already know “Star Wars” actress Carrie Fisher passed away recently from a heart attack.
The actress was just 60 years old and she suffered the heart attack during a flight.
To make things even sadder, her mother, actress Debbie Reynolds, passed away just one day later.
According to reports, Reynolds suffered a fatal stroke while planning Fisher’s funeral.
Comedian DL Hughley is currently under fire because he tweeted the following in response to the news:
Debbie Reynolds died a day after her daughter did! Black Mama’s don’t die cuz they kids do!They cry and say God don’t make no mistakes!

Despite the backlash, the comedian is standing by his tweet:
@JudithBenezra Nah!! As a comedian I should say what I see

He’s so ignorant.
Always has been and always will be. He tries to pretend he’s so woke and for black people but he’s an idiot.
He’s another one who needs to take a long break from Twitter and social media completely.
Disgusting.
I thought comedians were supposed to be funny…
His a-s never been funny…I never understood why he was a member of “kings of comedy”
Completely uncalled for.
You have to be a piece of sh-t to tweet some sh-t like this.
I’m never surprised….. heis brand of comedy is always low tide
I can’t believe he even had the audacity to use an old joke from 1 of his yesteryear shows to be funny….mad corny..>>he didn’t have to tweet anything at all
He really has issues.
Man what the hell is he even talking about? He needs to keep black women out of his mess!
